Just back from the Magic four nights. Let me know if you have any questions.

Tangled and Disney Dreams (2 Times for Dreams)

The server said 1100 but I am not sure. It was nice! Not too crowded.
You're so lucky you got Tangled! I sailed on the 3 night and they only showed Dreams. I hope they start showing Tangled on the 3 night cruises, too.

What was the experience like for kids in clubs? Did they have activities? Extra opportunities for more club time?

Thanks for doing this! We are doing our first cruise out of Miami in a few weeks and are worried about boarding and disembarking/customs.

Can you walk us through the boarding/testing process?

Also how was disembarking? And what were the customs lines like?

The last time we cruised we came into Galveston, and the disembarking/customs lines were so awful I swore I'd never cruise again. Hoping Miami is better or that doing express walk-off (or some other strategy) might make the process less awful.

We sail the 5 night itinerary on Saturday, so excited to finally be stepping back on after a long 26 months.

Do you know who was playing at Keys in the evenings? Did they also have entertainment on The Promenade Lounge in the evenings?

Hope you had a wonderful time.

Was yours a holiday cruise? I'm doing a four night very merry cruise right before christmas and it's my first cruise!! so excited! :)
Here are my questions:
1. Which activities/shows were each night? pirate night, holiday party, etc

2. What activities do you have to book in advance and what can you book on the ship? (like game shows, the spa, those things)

3. Do they have minnie ears in the gift shop?

4. do they still take requests for substitutions/customizing food in the restaurants? I've been told that DCL is really accommodating and you can actually order whatever you want even if it's not on the menu. But I don't want to make life difficult for the staff. I'm just going with someone who is a very picky eater :/

5. What is something that people might not know that's very important? (I know that's pretty broad.) Was anything that you weren't expecting?

thank you :)

Can you walk us through the boarding/testing process? It was super organized. They have a ton of little rooms where they walk you through the testing process. Then you go and sit in the terminal until you get the all clear. There are monitors with your reservation # saying you can board. But we got our notice on the app. Make sure the app is already downloaded. Also make sure you have the QR code that shows your port arrival time. They are very strict about that. You will not get in before that time.

Also how was disembarking? And what were the customs lines like? We did the late seating at Dinner so we got off later and had no lines in Customs super fast.

Hope you had a wonderful time.

Here are my questions:
1. Which activities/shows were each night? pirate night, holiday party, etc They had a scaled down Pirate night. Some people dressed up. No outside show or buffet.

2. What activities do you have to book in advance and what can you book on the ship? (like game shows, the spa, those things)
My daughter booked a massage before we left. She noticed the price went up the closer to depature date. We were able to book the rain forest on the ship.
3. Do they have minnie ears in the gift shop? Yes they did. They had mostly the nautical ones.

4. do they still take requests for substitutions/customizing food in the restaurants? I've been told that DCL is really accommodating and you can actually order whatever you want even if it's not on the menu. But I don't want to make life difficult for the staff. I'm just going with someone who is a very picky eater :/ Yes they are very accomodating. Don't hesitate to ask.

5. What is something that people might not know that's very important? (I know that's pretty broad.) Was anything that you weren't expecting? I wasn't expecting the buffet to close so early everyday by 2pm I belive.

thank you :)

Thanks for doing this! Did you have lunch in Cabanas on embarkation day? If so, did you notice if they had lamb chops?

I agree that DCL is very accommodating, but I would not say that you can order whatever you want. Changing the side dish on a meal would be pretty straightforward. Getting something being served in another MDR is also possible. Asking for something that is not on the menu at all is problematic.

Every night you can get plain steak, chicken, or salmon with veggies and rice or a baked potato. You might also ask the picky someone to take a look at the menus ahead of time. You can every do this before you cruise as Scott has them all on his site - https://disneycruiselineblog.com/menus/

Yes sorry you are right. Usually before Covid I have seen them get things at the Buffet for a picky child however right now the Buffet is closed at Dinnertime. At least it was on the cruise we just got off of.

Did you drive to and park at the cruise terminal? If so, is it still a garage sort of far away and you have to take a bus from the garage to the Disney terminal/testing area? I think I've seen something like that from one of the test cruises, so just curious what current parking/bus procedures look like.

Thank you!
