We were in 2007 for 9 nights tent camping. Several nights it got pretty cool but luckily we had enough blankets + a heater to knock off the dampness. The most amazing thing though was that we only had a single sprinkle the whole time. NO Rain! Very nice
The campground looked great as always and many people had halloween decorations up. Everything from BIG Jack blow ups, Mickey Vampires, to lights/decorations around the camp site. I had ment to decorate some but I ended up just putting some "pumpkin" string lights around the front entrance to the tent.
Pool tems were nice though getting out if you went in the evening was a very chilly experience. Miss Sunday wasn't at the campfire, they said she was on a leave of some kind. We missed seeing her but they still did a great job. We went to the movies 3 nights but Narnia night was just crazy crowded. My son and I got there 4 hours early and had a picnic/rest/nap. However, we were made to move our towels because it blocked the Chip/Dale path (not a problem but as soon as we did everyone else came in and took up every available inch around us and we ended up having to encroach on someone elses space because of it).
Tuesday night we went to MNSSHP. Justin got a "Jack" Mickey ears with "King Mickey" on it and wore his Orginization 13 costume + Keyblade (for those who have played Kingdom Hearts 2) and I went as a Org 13 member as well. The costumes looked great but I had a hard time keeping him in his, he finally came out of it around 9:30. Unfortunately, I got him up too early and he conked out about 10 and we had to leave.
Didn't really see that many love bugs in the Fort. There were a few when we arrived but thinned out really quickly. Overall, a GREAT time and we hated to leave. As we left out on I-75 yesterday there was a beautiful sunrise and clear blue skies. I told him it was almost a crime to leave with it looking like that but we didn't have a choice
Gotta Pay the bills
Oh, just a quick note to keep someone else from doing the same thing. We tried the new "Western Way" on the way in. It was really nice but there is one point where you can see Everest through the trees and then go around a curve. Well... we were trying to film Everest and I came around the curve and saw a couple police sitting there with cars pulled off and waving them/me off the road. At first I thought it was a wreck of some sort then.... Come to find out the western way turns to 35mph around that little curve and they were really cleaning up on their monthly quota. Looked like the road had been setup that way on purpose to me. In their defense though, the guy was nice and cut my ticket down from 57 to 44mph. It still hurt though because I'm always a careful driver and it just seemed like the road was setup that way at that spot to catch tourist and milk them for a little extra cash. A bad way to start a vacation.
