Actually, I've been back about a week and a half, but I haven't had time to catch up here on the DIS.

Had a very nice four night stay at the Dolphin. I was upgraded from a standard room to a Club Level, King Bed room with a great view of the lake, Boardwalk, Swan and (in the distance) the Tower of Terror and some of World Showcase. I watched the IllumiNations fireworks a few nights.

It was nice to be on the Club Level floor, but since I did not make use of the lounge, I would never pay extra for it.

I only had one 'issue'. When I checked in there were small bloodstains on the comforter. :scared: It took me several phone calls over a 2 day period to get this fixed.

The service was very good otherwise. I asked for foam pillows, because of my allergies and when I cam back from one of the parks, there were 8 pillows covering my bed. Most nights we were throwing have of them on the floor.

I don't know that it would become a regular spot for me, but I wouldn't hesitate to return to the Dolphin in the future.

glad you enjoyed your stay :D

Did you get a complimentary club level upgrade or was it because you have platinum status on the starwood card?

thanks would love to know:bounce: :bounce:

I would like to know if you got a complimentary upgrade to CL too! People have been reporting for the past year that S/D have done away with comp CL except if you are are Platinum.

Wecome back.:D What a small world, we were just back as well, may4-9. Booked a standard ap w/ a free upgrade to lake view. We also recieved a free upgrade to club 12 th floor. We also had a view of illuminations and mgm. The pixey dust was in full bloom. We had a refurb room, everything was perfect. We will definetly return.

:D

Also wanted to mention how wonderful Thabo and Maria were in the club lounge. They went out of their way to make our experience very magical.

Glad that you enjoyed the Dolphin. We will be staying at the Dolphin for the first time in July. I hope that they give us an upgrade!

belle,

Glad you enjoyed your stay:D

Question: do you have a starwood card also? I am trying to figure out if you book on an AP, you get an instant upgrade with it and was wondering that in addition if you have a a starwood card, you get an upgrade so I wonder if they gave a double upgrade?

Thanks for your help:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hi gm
:wave2:
I do have a Starwood card, however I had no points as this was my first stay. I honestly don't think the upgrade had anything to do with my status, but prehaps more with the fact the hotel was so full on my check-in day. That and the pixey dust that was being sprinkled over the Dolphin at the time.;)
