Just back from the Disney Store!

Their summer sale is still going strong. I was good and only got things for our upcoming trip (ok, ok....I DID get a new Mickey topper for 50% off! ).

We are going to the MVMCP and when we went in 2002, we all wore matching shirts (only kids had one color, me and DH had another). I picked up the patriotic Goofy shirts in gray for DH and DS (It actually doesn't say anything about the holiday, just 2004 on the bottom) and got myself and the girls red ones with Mickey (again only the 2004 on the bottom). I have to put them away so I am not tempted to use them before our trip! I had gotten sweatshirts in 2002 and the kids were so hot, the griped until I let them take the shirts off!

Cool! I bought those same red Mickey shirts for my boys for the 4th of July. Dh and I got the gray Mickey ones. You guys are gonna look great!!

In '02, my son Kirk bought himself one of the Christmas Goofy hats. I think he will look quite festive with the gray Goofy t-shirt and red Goofy hat (complete with the long ears!! ). Maybe I should have DH get the same hat and the girls and I can get the Christmas hat with the Mickey ears!!

Interesting side note.....I just took the shirts out of the bag to fold them neatly before I stashed them away. For the girls and myself, I grabbed a child's large for my youngest DD and an adult small and a medium for my other daughter and me. As I was folding the shirts, I couldn't help but notice the size. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me so I held the child's large and adult medium up. The child's large is both longer and wider than the adult small!!! I think I'll have my youngest DD use the adult small and older DD use the child's!!

I just bought the gray Mickey ones for us as well. CM told me they run really big. I got myself a youth 10/12 (cheaper than the adult sizes) and DD who is usually a 10/12 I got a 6X (she tried it on and it fits fine!)

we went a few days ago and got my ds the grey mickey t and i got the red minnie t.We also got the bbq set for this summer and we got the cute little mickey ice cubes.The prices were great too we got everything for 50% off.I also got me the cutest little tinkerbell lounge pants and t for 12.99 marked down from like 34.99!I was so pleased...

The children's t-shirts do run very large, but keep in mind that they are 100% cotton. The tags say that they are pre-shrunk, but they will still shrink a little--at least, the ones that I have seem to have shrunk a little. Just FYI!

I never put my "good clothes" (the Disney ones!! ) in the dryer....clothes cost too much....and the kids grow too fast....to give Mother Nature a helping hand when it comes to outgrowing them! I was just so amazed at how much longer and wider the kids large is compared to the adult small! Over an inch each way!!

Well I just looked at the online Disney store and they do not seem to have the deals that I have gotten at the DS! But...look at this TB lamp! I have already themed my daughter's room but boy if I hadn't!

I went Thurs. & yesterday. They had new lower prices yesterday. I spend more than I should of. We collect globes they were all $39.99 I got 3 new ones. Beach towels were 7.99 lots of great deals.

We went to the Disney store yesterday and I got the kids some of the toys that were 50% off. Princess & buzz fans to wear around their necks, bubbles (to blow on our sail-away party), and other goodies. I'm going to use them as surprises when we go to WDW and DCL next year ! If I start buying now, I'll have something for everyday we're on vacation. I tell them Mickey left them a surprise in our room, and they think that is so cool ! ( I did that last year at Disneyland, a big hit ! )

Our shirts are 90% cotton and 10% polyester, mine didn't shrink at all.

I just went to the DS and bought two snowglobes. All snowglobes were $39.99, I purchased the Steamboat Willie one that was originally $98.00 I am thrilled!

My closest Disney store is 30 miles away, but I'm considering a Sunday afternoon shopping trip.

Can anyone tell me whether the stores have the Island Mickey dresses, shirts, etc.? I'm guessing they do since someone got the shoes. My DH has wanted a "hidden Mickey" shirt like that since my youngest son got one about three years ago, so this would be a great Father's Day present. I can order it on-line but I kind of wanted to check out the dress for me!

Also, approximately what size are the beach towels? Are they big thick ones?

They have the clothes you are asking about. Half off. The one store didn't have alot left. The beach towels are the nice ones. it's worth driving to hope they have stuff left.

I was at ours yesterday and they did have the island mickey dresses & shirts. The dress was I think $16.99 or $19.99. I was tempted I will tell you.

I went this past week and got my son and daughter bunches of stuff. i got them the Island dress $14.99 and Island shirt $7.99 and each of them the fans to wear around there neck $5.00 each the mickey shirts that are Felt material to have autographed instead of the books 1 power ranger and 1 princess FM headphone radios $2.50 each and PR towel for son and Princess backpack towel fo daughter for under $80. I am going back this weekend for more.
