just back from 10 days in the contemporary. we stayed in the north garden wing and had a great time . if any one has any questions i'll try to answer them for you. by the way did i mention we had a great time.......

Curious how crowded the CR is now with SOG being there? CR is our favorite & used to be a hidden secret but with the cruises it started being busier & now with SOG folks, thought it must be pretty crowded. Down at the pools? marina? resturants? It always had a less than crowded pool area cause people tend to go to mk more when they stayed there with smaller children, really enjoyed this factor! MKY (glad your trip was excellent)!

Welcome Back. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at CR. I'm leaving in 18 days arriving on Father's Day. We are also going to be staying in the North Wing - former SOG guests.

Did you get to try the Food 'n Fun Center? If so, what did you think? Did you find any good places to eat at CR or the surrounding resorts?

I assume you were there as a SOG guest. We are going in August and requested the North Wing but we are not SOG. Do you know how much of the wing the SOG uses? I've heard different reports. Some say all of the NW is reserved for SOG others say some rooms are set aside for regular guests. Also what floor and room were you in?

We will be at CR via SOG in DEC 2002. I am thinking of cancelling and waiting until SOG opens up again. What is your opinion? I am very concerned with my children 5 and 2. I heard it is not kid friendly, hard to get around, lot of walking for pool and monorail. I guess we would too be in the N garden wing as a SOG guest. Give me the low down on the kid thing. I can reschedule, it will not devastate us.

mkymouse- we have never stayed at the CR before so i don't know if it is more crowded now. there didn't seem to be any problem for us. the pool always had empty chairs and the fun center never really filled up except at breakfast and 11:00 at nite. the marina always eemed to have plenty of boats. we rented 7 at once and there were plenty left.

leap year- the fun center was great. the kids loved the arcade and the food was pretty good. the breakfast for 2 adult and 2 kids was between $16-18. refillable mugs are a must. $10 and you refill it the whole time there. chef mickeys character breakfast is a must . the frozen drinks at the pool wreen't that good. expensive and very weak. most of our meals were at the parks. prime time cafe is a must for any trip.

disneyva-- i've told SOG has about 300 rooms. I don't know the total in the wing. we were on the second floor closest to the towers.7203.7205,7206. the walks to the pool,mono.and fun center were very short. to MK was 10 min. parking was a little tough as everyone heads to that end to park.

brodie-- as for kid friendly there seemed to be no problem.the walks for us were short and the room had 2 queens and a day bed..

all in all the CR was way beyond our expectations..have fun..

Hi, we're not going til July, and I can hardly wait. I'm glad you stated that it wasn't that crowded however in July I'm sure it will be. Are there hairblowers, irons, and coffee pots in the rooms.? I sure do hope so, I don't want to lug mine from home. Thanks.

hey dg-- yes there is a hairblower , iron and ironing board. no coffee pot, but if you get the refillable mug for $10 that includes coffee, soda, lemonade, ice tea, and something that looks like a slurpee......that was a good deal for us.plus the mugs are pretty nice..

dg39: We requested a coffeemaker and they brought us one of those little 4 cup jobs and a big supply of coffee/sugar/creamer. There was no charge for it.
