Back last night from our trip for my 40th birthday trip! Another fab time. We stayed in the campervan on site.

Highs
Lunch at Cafe Mickey. While I do have to agree with some previous posters that the service is not as great as you expect (we had to wait over 20 minutes for drinks) the experience was worth it. We booked a table for 12.00 - it was really quiet when we arrived but soon filled up, We met Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Pinocchio and Gippetto and they spent lots of time with us. Food was good, and we found something for everyone which is rare as I am a picky vegetarian.

Toy story playland - fab layout.

Getting to see Chistmas emerging each day! I thought it would still be Halloween but nearly all the stuff had gone by 5th and we got to see the changes every day, and the tree was unvelied on Saturday so we got to see Main street in all its beautiful Christmas glory.

Not lows but slight disappointments
Fireworks - Like lots of British people we were expecting a traditional display like at home, but what this actually is a sound and light show with fireworks. It's great BUT unless you are right on the edge of the lake you cannot see anything for about the first 15 minutes as it is Mickey going around in a boat. It was packed, and people were frustrated and cross. As it was very late for our son he got very upset and if I had known what it was, I wouldn't have bothered.

I think that is the only one really.

An amazing time!

Did you get your 40 autographs then :goodvibes?
Glad to hear you had a great time overall.

Welcome back, glad you enjoyed your trip:goodvibes

Welcome back! :wave2:

I was also wondering if you got your 40 autographs! :rotfl:

Do you know, I never actually realised what this was, I just sort of assumed that it would be a firework display 'up in the air' for all to see.

Sadly I did not get my 40 autographs. We just seemed to hit unlucky this time - eg we met Rabbit and Honest John in the Studios twice, but they had a crowd and only signed 2 more before leaving. I saw Chewbacca and Darth Vader going back in by the toilets at the back of Videopolis while waiting for the boys to finish in the toilets - of course they had the book with them! We will just have to go again so I can complete it in my 40th year!
