But really the service was very good.
I arrived at the resort at 12:00, I was checked in by 12:20. My room was not ready, so I took my carry on bag to the luggage depot, went to the food court go my refillable mug and took the bus to MGM to start my Disney fun.
The resort was booked solid, by I found the bus service to be fine, the longest I waited was 20 minutes, and this was at the MK after Spectro and Wishes so the bus lines were horrid. Leaving the MK each of the Allstars had it's own bus so that was helpful. And the buses just kept coming one after another. The one thing I did not like about the bus stop at the Allstars is that they are out in the open you stand outside the resort on the hot cement with no place to sit and no covering. At least the moderates have a shelter where you can sit to get out of the sun. There were benches at the Allstar, but they were against the building so you would lose your spot in line if you sat there. Most evenings and mornings the buses were standing room only, due to the resorts being so booked.
Each of the Allstars had the tour groups, in the Music there were at least 3 or 4 of them. I had no problems with any of them, they were no overly loud on the buses, none of the singing and clapping we experienced back in '95, but since they all travelled together, they all reached the food court a the same time, causing long lines and then of course they all got on the bus together. If you arrived after them, you always had to wait for another bus.
The selection at the food court was pretty good, I ate breakfast there most mornings and had a snack one night, but the lines for the burgers etc were very long, so I just grabbed a wrap from the refrigerator section.
Housekeeping was good, I did not get any towel animals, but that does not bother me. I did see some of the stuffed animals hanging from the drapes in some of the windows.
The pool is a nice size, there were alot of people in the pool most of the time, but it was not too bad. the water was luke warm so it was not refreshing. It was okay at night though. The water was not spouting from the figures in the middle, if it had been it may have kept the water cooler in some of the areas.
My first room was in the Jazz section building 9, but it was a handicapped room with a roll in shower, so I called and asked to be moved. The front desk was very nice about it. I was travelling by myself and they asked if I had requested a king bed, and I said no I had not. They said the resort was booked solid so all they could offer me was another handicapped room but with a tub, so I agreed to take that room. This was in the Jazz section building 2. My room was 2523, it was on the second floor kind of facing the woods and parking lot. I could see one of the building from the Allstar sports. I really like the Jazz section, it was one building after the Calpyso buildings so it was a good spot.
The CMs at the front desk were very friendly, I was able to get the CMs at the concierge desk to print my boarding pass for me the day I left, so that saved me time at the airport.
For the price the Value resorts are fine, but I would not stay at a value resort again during the summer season, it was just too crowded.
