Just back from a quick trip to WDW
We went to the 1st MNSSHP and it was AWESOME!

I can't believe I've never done one of these events. I do know I'll never miss one again!

The park was QUIET! We rode 18 rides, saw 1 show right up front (and didn't sit down til 3 min. before show time), saw the fireworks (just to the right of the castle and only sat down 10 min before the show!) and saw the 2nd parade (sat down ON THE CURB at MAIN STREET 10 min before the parade!!!) and ate a quick dinner at Starlight Cafe (NO LINE for dinner).

Great candy and plenty of places to Trick-or-Treat!

Got some great pics w/Characters, had time to interact with them too!
I got to ask Minnie if she got her ring yet and told her not to worry cuz my DS would love to marry her. She and Mickey really played this scene up!
Got to ask Chip and Dale if they were squirrels....what a scene, my son loved every min. of it!

SO, if anyone is thinking about getting these tickets.....STOP THINKING AND CALL!
I will not miss this next yr!!!

Any questions? I'll be glad to answer them!

Patty

Glad to hear you had a great time! Thanks for posting!! I do have a few questions for you:

What time did you get to the park?

If you did get there early, what were you able to do before the party started? How were the lines before the party?

Did you feel that you were able to do all of the Halloween stuff you wanted to? (This is our first party and I want to do it all, of course :hyper: )

Was Casey's open?

Any more tips?

Thanks for your help!!

I]What time did you get to the park?[/I]

We arrived at abou 4:45pm, you can get into MK with your MNSSHP tickets as early at 4pm.

You have access to the entire park until 6pm, then they have everyone stay in Tomorrowland. From 4:45pm - 6pm there were NO LINES! We rode BTMR with NO WAIT - just walked right on.
Most people were leaving the park.

We did everything except watch the costume show (guests can show off their costumes, we didn't have anything special on so we skipped it) and we didn't take the Riverboat ride, they tell spooky stories and hand out candy. We chose not to go on that, but had we wanted to there was PLENTY OF TIME.

Was Casey's open?
heard it was, didn't take notice, sorry

Make sure the little ones are well rested, you don't want to have to leave early. Go to the 2nd parade, 10pm and get there a few min. early to see the Headless Horseman.

Keep your eyes opened at 6pm while in Tomorrowland, they send over several characters to keep us entertained. They were stationed outside the Starlight Cafe.

If you have passes you can go to MK earlier than 4pm but I honestly don't think that would be needed. We ate at 5:15, counter service with NO LINE and still have plenty of time to see/do everything.

The Cinderalla Show in front of the castle is done several times that night, the last show at 11pm there were but 100 or so people watching an hardly anyone right in front of the castle.

For the fireworks, sit either directly in front of the castle or just to the right to see the watch fly down.

Lots of trick-or-treating in Toon Town!

There were NO misquitos but bug spray may be a good idea to have with you. We also had NO RAIN, although it was forecasted to have thunderstorms...guess the pixie dust and the fairy godmother kept it away!

Have FUN!~!!! This was the best trip and my 1st time at MNSSHP plus our 1st mommy and son weekend!

YOu'll LOVE IT!!!!

Thanks so much for the report!

We're going the 17th and it will be our first time.

Cannot wait!

Did you notice what places are open for dinner that do not require PS's? We were planning to spend the day at AK, go back to OKW and change, do dinner at Olivias at 4:30 and then head over. Sounds like it may be better just to head directly to MK after changing and eat there....

Thoughts?

Thanks craziefortigger for answering my questions! Great info!! We are really excited about our trip! Only 10 more days!!! :bounce:

Thanks for the report, craziefortigger. I will be attending my first MNSSHP in a couple of weeks. Can't wait!

Thanks for the super report! We are going next Tuesday the 12th. I do have a question for you though. How crowded was MK right after they let you in? Were most day guests leaving? We were hoping to arrive around 4:30 or so and do some rides before everyone is moved to Tomorrowland. Just wondering if we should just get a bite to eat or try to ride some rides first. Thanks for your help!

We ate at Starlight Cafe - I like the food, there was no wait and it's located in Tomorrowland so when we were done eating we were able to go directly on the rides plus that's where the characters were stationed.

If you don't mind counter service food for dinner I'd eat at MK, aviod the congestion on main street/entrance for those who waited til closer to 7pm to arrive. The tickets say 7-12am so many people don't realize you can get in earlier - they show up close to 7pm and it gets congested.

I didn't put my DS into his batman costume til after we ate, just to make it more comfortable for him - it's up to you, plenty of people, children and adults, arrive in costume. His batman costume is easy to put on and light weight so I just threw it in my bag.

Have FUN!

Glad to share and I know you all will love this event! I can't hardly wait til Dec 1 when I get to go back for MVMCP on the 3rd!!!
