My DW and DK's just got back from our Star Wars weekends trip on Sunday, May 16. We had a blast!
We arrived on Wednesday morning and checked into POFQ. We got a room exactly where we wanted thanks to the fax we sent a couple days earlier. Building 5, close to the pool and food court. As soon as we settled in, we drove over to MK (My DW and I decided that driving is the best way to get around WDW, especially with 2 DK's and a double stroller. Plus we don't have to wait for buses). There were no crowds at MK and we rode everything we wanted to with no waiting longer than 20 minutes. We got FP for Peter Pan and Philhar Magic. That night we spent time at the pool and the kids loved the slide!
Day two we drove over to Epcot. We had PS for the Princess breakfast in Norway. My DD loved it! We saw Snow White, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, and Jasmine. The food was OK, but well worth the price to see my DD so happy! Something we didn't know is that you can go around the worlds and the kids get a mask to color and you stop at each world and get a stamp on your mask. This was really fun!
Day three was STAR WARS WEEKENDS! We got to the park at 8:45am. I would suggest to get their early. We went straight back to the Star Tours ride and stood in front of the rope to get my DS a shot at getting picked for Jedi training. (This was the whole purpose of our trip). Sure enough, he got picked! This year they added more spots in front of the stage so more kids can participate. The guy picking the kids picked alot of kids with red and orange shirts. My DS was in front of the stage and got to fight Darth Maul! Of course we went and saw all the characters: Chewbacca, Princess Leah, Darth Vader, Bobba Fett and also clowned around with the Sand People and Storm Troopers walking in the streets. The merchandise store was swamped!
Day four, we went back to MGM and this was on Saturday. The corwds were alot larger and it made me glad we did everyhting we wanted to do on Friday! If you are going for Star Wars weekends, I would strongly suggest going on Friday. The crowds were considerably lighter.
Feel free to ask me any questions!
