Just back from SSR

We returned Friday night from a 9 night trip to SSR. Stayed in a 1 bdrm in Congress Park. Love, love love the resort more each time. We spent alot of time at the Paddock Pool area with our almost 3 yr old grandson. He had a blast. He loved the poolside crafts and games. Also he enjoyed the Community hall were he made a birdhouse, pillow case, toasted marshmallows and more. We also dined at a few new places for us, Via Napoli. great pizza and Sangria, Garden Grove at the Swan for Seafood night, double yum, House of Blues, enjoyed very much, and one of our favs Liberty Tree Tavern. Enjoyed the F&W Fest, favs included, Argentina, Canada, Ireland, Germany, the beer flights, Pomegrante Kir, Raspberry lime Margarita and too much more to mention. The parks were all pretty busy. We had a delivery from WeGo shop and Amy did a great job as usual. We ate breakfast and many lunches and dinners in our room. We grilled steak and baked potatoes at the quiet pool area. We were the crazy group swimming in the pouring rain last Saturday night! More to come and I'll try for the first time to post pictures. Questions anyone?

How far was it from Congress Park to the Paddock pool? Did you walk or drive over?

We walked. It seemed to be about the same distance as the main area. We crossed the street from the bus stop and walked by the white fence. Probably 10 mins. tops. You can also take the bus to the Springs stop and cross the bridge and you are right there. We didn't mind the walk and really enjoyed the pool. The snack bar had some nice options including the Saratoga chips we are all hooked on.

It sounds like a great vacation. We go fairly often to Disney, but not for 9 nights, that's wonderful!

This was our longest Disney vacation. This year we made good use of our APs. 4 nights in Nov.2010, 6 nights in July and this 9 nights. We usually go 2-3x per year but we are not planning to go back until Nov. 2012 for a large family gathering. We have a couple of different vacations planned between now and then. I'm not sure if I can go that long though!

Do they still have those yummy little round carrot cakes in the cold case at Artiste Palette? I live for those! SSR is my happy place! Well, one of them anyway!
