Got back late last night after the airline experience from h***! (but that's for another thread!).

SSR was great. Had a one bedroom on the first floor in the Paddocks with a view of the fountain. Great location once I learned the little short-cut to the Carrousel bus stop. Also a short walk to the Springs which made things very convienient.

I like SSR. My only wish is that they had a table service restraunt like Olivia's at OKW. Simple, laid back kinda food without that "rushed" atmosphere that a counter-service seems to bring with it. But not as pricey as Turf Club (although the TC was excellent as allways!). And that served Breakfast!

My only complaint has to do with the busses. Sometimes waits approached 45 minutes. Maybe it was just bad timing on my part. Granted most of the time it was less than 15 minutes. I'm not sure what a suggested improvement could be except adding another bus to the routes. Just venting that frustration!

We were at SSR the 14th - 21st in the Paddock. Buses were really hit or miss. Some days they were AWESOME - some days, forget it! A couple times we ended up going back to our car and driving to the parks. I did learn something interesting though - apparently the Downtown Disney buses are not 'dedicated' - meaning that when a bus pulls in to pick people up, there is a dispatcher that tells him where he needs to go - so I guess they wait for the waiting areas to fill up and then dispatch the bus to that resort. I will say they were on par coming back from MNSSHP - they had one bus waiting for people at 11:00 p.m. and 2 more empty ones right behind it.

Glad you had a good trip. We also stayed in the Paddock and loved that location. We also had mixed experiences with the busses. For a resort that big, with that many stops they should have increased bus service (at least in the morning & night).
