I first trip to SSR was wonderful. We pulled in on Monday after driving all night Sunday at got a wonderful room at 11 am. The front desk person was excellent. She gave us the option of the room we took or another one that was not quite ready but had a better view of Downton Disney. We opted for the first room. It was in the Congress Park Section--we walked to Downtown Disney for dinner that evening. There was a small pool outside our room that was wonderful for late night and early morning dips. The rooms are a little smaller than Old Key West Rooms--escpecially the living room and kitchen area. Everything was wonderful and clean. We had a problem with an allergic reaction on Tuesday and the front desk/store was able to get us some allergy medication extremely quick. We went up to the "big" pool late Wednesday night. It was after the slide had closed and my kids were not too happy with that. Some idiot got into an argument with his mother or mother in law while we were there--I didn't appreciate that. We tried to get ice cream but forgot the store closed at 11pm. The next evening we went up early enough the kids and grandpa could go down the slide. It was soo funny watching grandpa come down the slide. :rotfl2: We stayed until after the slide had closed but gave us enough time to go get Mickey Ice Cream on a stick from the store. We also ate at the Artist's Palette that evening. The food was very good and they give you a lot of it. Overall I was extremely pleased with SSR. I will not got back to it if I have over 6 people in a two bedroom--I really appreciated the extra room at OKW. I know my family of four will be back. :cheer2: The parks were really great. I was very worried about the lines since it was spring break for my kids but we waited at the most 90 minutes for a ride. I was a little surprised by the heat. I really didn't think it would be as hot as it was. I was very pleased with the shows and the fact that we had laundry machines in our room. I also was disappointed that we could only have one fast pass per person. Last year when we went, we had two fast passes per person. It really helped cut down on the wait time. Don't miss Fantasmic-it was just as good this time as every other we have seen it.
