Well let me say it was HOT :sunny: . We always go in September, but this time was really muggy & hot. I live in Louisiana, so I am used to the heat but it was really dragging us down. Besides the heat the crowds were wonderful. It really seemed like one of the least crowded times we have been. We rode test track like 4 times in a row. Of course we had to get off & run around to get right back on. We also got to ride Soarin 3 times. We rode Expedition Everest for the first time - lets just say :woohoo: That was so intense, the kids convinced my mother to ride with us. Well she was dizzy for the next hour, but she thought it was neat. It did rain a lot, I think it rained every evening. The first night we stayed in a studio at the Boardwalk, it was really nice there. That was the first time I got to stay there.

On the 2nd night we moved to a 2 bedroom at the Beach Club. It was nice & roomy! I loved being able to wash clothes! We usually stay at the Poly, but now that we are DVC I am glad that I tried 2 new resorts. The only bad part about the beach club, was the bed in the master bedroom. I had to get them to bring me some extra blankets so I could put them over the mattress, I could feel the springs. They said they are changing the mattresses within the next 2 weeks. We did get a room all the way at the end of the villa's, but it was the only one ready for an early checkin, so we took it. Besides it was close to the parking lot. I drove to all the parks, except for Epcot. It is such a short drive, I do not think I will ever use the bus system again.

This is quick run down of some of our meals.
Liberty Inn - I always like the burgers here (especially for a quick meal).

Boardwalk Bakery - we ate here a few mornings. The sunrise sandwich was good, the breakfast burrito was yummy (it had a lot of eggs in it though), blueberry muffins were very good, & you just can not beat the krispy kreme doughnuts. The only thing they did wrong was on our last day, I was trying to use our last 4 counter services. Well they rang up an extra burrito & 2 danish's that we did not get. They also took our drinks out of my snack credits (that I was going to use to get mickey rice krispy treats to take home) My DH went back in & they gave us the extra food so we just took it with us for the ride home.

Beaches and Cream - This was our first time trying this place, & we ate here twice. It was good burgers & onion rings, but the desserts were the really good  . We had the strawberry shortcake which was very good, the brownie dessert - I liked this one the best, Banana Split - my mom loved it, it had almonds sprinkled on top too, we also had another giant sundae with brownie & two ice creams.

Lecellier - This was not my favorite. I know a lot of people love it, but I thought it was just ok. I am glad I got to experience it though. The cheddar cheese soup was very good though. I had the Mushroom filet, & I got the mashed potato's instead of the rice, & they were very good. My DD got the rice with hers, & she did not like it at all. My mom got the clams as an appt, & she really liked them. The bread was very good, with the butter. We were too full for dessert so we took it back to the Beach Club. We all got the chocolate cake, because they said that is the only one that would travel well. It was a good cake, but I bet it would have been better if we were not so full.

'Ohana - This is a long time favorite of the whole family. The steak with peanut sauce is absolutely delicious  . My parents thought this was a really neat place, & they loved the food. We all ate as much of the Banana's Foster Bread pudding that we could possibly fit in. The kids really like to do the coconut races. Mom & I got a Mai-Tai, & it was very good.

Wispering Canyon - my dad loves bar-b-que, so I thought this would be a hit & I was right. He loved the pulled pork, & the ribs. My DD ate so many bar-b-que beans that the waiter made a big fuss over her. Bull Frog waited on us, he was so entertaining. The corn bread & butter was as good as ever. For dessert we had the apple pie - which was not that good. Mom & I had the cinnnamon banana dessert & it was good.

Flame Tree - This was a really good counter service, again my dad thought it was great. I had the pulled pork sandwich, & it was very good. DS had the ribs & everyone liked them. We all pretty much ate everything that came with our meal. The kids got frozen lemonaids as their dessert, I got a key lime pie. It was o.k., but I usually like it very cold.

I will write more in a little later, also I will see if I can put some of my pic's up.

hi bcsmom! we were there the same week as you! so sad to be back already! :(

actually i didn't think it was as hot there as it has been in previous septembers we've visited. in sept. 03 and 04 i found it was much muggier and hotter. this year i was pleasantly surprised. oh well! maybe i was just so excited to be there i had blocked the heat out of my mind!

i am hoping to get my trip report up soon.

stina :wave2:

I'll be staying at the BWV, so I was glad to see your review. Plus you ate at some of the resturants we will be eating at. I am still trying to decide about Roaring Forks.

Thanks fo rthose reviews too, glad to hear about matress replacements.

Just Back this morning at 1 A.M.
Delays at the airport= extra Florida time.
Enjoying reading about your time there....we were there 9/10-9/17
Crossed paths a few times by the looks of it!!
Can't wait to read more........
I am already "homesick" :sad1:
Was it all a dream?

p.s..........it was HOT......... :beach:

I don't know it just felt hotter then my past trips. We were there Sept 2005 & Sept 2003. We usually go at the end of the month, it does not seem like it would make that much difference but I guess a few weeks could make it a little cooler :confused3 .

Peco's Bill's - was as good as ever. We got the usual hamburgers & fries. I love the fixin bar there. The peanut butter brownie was not to good to me.

Pinnochio Village Haus - I am just sorry we did not try this place sooner. I got a grilled turkey sandwich & it was very good. I also like that they give you mickey rice krispie treats as your dessert. They make great treats to bring back to everyone.

Magic Kingdom Bakery - I just love  this place for breakfast! I got the french toast loaf of course, & DH got the crossaint sandwich (which was very good). We used a CS credit here & they let us get the sandwich & the french toast loaf on one credit. They really tryed to help you maximize your credits here.

I forget the name but the bakery in france - I got a cream puff & it was pretty good. DD got cheese cake & she ate it all. My DS got a turkey sandwich & it tasted pretty good too.

Spoodles pizza window - my DD & DS loved the pizza here. I got a funnel cake at the little booth & it was great.

I am trying to upload some pic's, so if I can figure this out I will post them.

I have not tryed roaring forks, but if it sounds interesting to you I would try it. Everyone has different taste. Alot of people love Lecellier & I did not like it very much.

ok lets see if I figured this picture thing out. This is a picture of my family in front of the castle.

We are leaving THIS FRIDAY :cool1:  and I just noticed that you have a 1 yr. old DD, just like we do! I'd like to know how she did with the characters, sitting still at meals, etc. Any tips or advice would help. Thanks for posting your trip report!

Well I have not updated the kids ages, so my DD is now 2. We did go in Jan though when she was 18 months. I found that she did better when she was younger. She now has more fear of things, so she was afraid in the dark rides. We had to take her out of bug life, because it was to loud for her & she looked really scared. She does pretty good in restaurants, except for one night at the Liberty Inn. She had a total fit, & it was raining so we were stuck!!! I felt so bad for the people next to us  . I usually bring books for her to read though, & she loves to color. I also bring snacks so she does not have to wait for her food if she gets really hungry. I think she did best at the character meals this go round. I let her watch Mickey Mouse club house every saturday morning & we watched a lot of Disney DVD's, so she knew who everyone was. When she was 18 months though, she was afraid of most of the characters. Now that she will watch tv, she likes them a lot more. I hope this helps, & have a great trip!

You're a Great Mom....there should be more like you!!! At least YOU try when a screamin' fit starts,,,,,,,that's all anyone asks,,,just try !! I brought both my boys when they were 18 months old and it was the same scene. Some things they were afraid of that you just learned to avoid and some things just thrilled them.........You pretty much know your kids and will be able to sense what will be good for them at the time...If Not,,there are a hundred other choices in Disney to entertain them..... :yay:

Your children are beautiful!

We were there 9/9-9/16 also. I'm with you. The humidity seemed especially high that week. Are you going through Disney withdrawls? My alarm clock went off on Monday morning and I was like--where are Stitch and Mickey? They're supposed to be calling me to wake me up! :rotfl:

We ate at Beaches and Cream for the first time also. I had the burger and fries but DH had the Kitchen Sink for lunch! Boy is that thing big. He ate about 2/3 of it. I helped but not much! We both thought it had too much whipped cream. And I love whipped cream.

We also ate at Le Cellier. We had eaten there in May and were not happy at all. But so many people here kept saying how good it was so we gave it another try. It was much better this time but still not wonderful. We feel that the Yachtsman Steakhouse is much much better! But we didn't leave Le Cellier hungry, that's for sure. Gotta love the free dininn plan!

Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment. It is very hard at times to always keep 3 children happy with out losing my mind

Thank you so much, I think they are pretty darn cute (especially when they are asleep) :goodvibes . The ice cream at beaches and cream was really good. I do not think we will try Lecellier again for awhile. I will have to try Yachtsman though. I think most of the restaurants in the resorts are pretty good. I just  'Ohana! I still need to try Boma though. I do love the dining plan, unfortunately I can not get it for free since we are DVC members, but it is still a good deal to buy it. I figured we could not buy all that food at that price. I was talking to a cast member at storm along bay, & he said Disney loses money on that deal.

I just wanted to post a few more pic's for everyone who is missing home!
