Hi all,
We took a quick 3 nite vacation and stayed at Saratoga Springs. Considering what Charley did to the Florida, I was amazed at how "unscathed" WDW came away. As we were driving down 417 roofs were lost, fences gone, trees on homes, etc. etc. However, WDW came away very well. Saratoga lost 80 trees. The construction area well maintained. The sails are gone from Cirque. We did not go to the parks on this trip but we did go to Blizzard Beach and everything looked fine. There were some glitches in using the WDW charge at Downtown Disney (but we've seen that happen in the past). The only inconvenience was that it took close to an hour until we got through the check-in line.

The resort is very nice. It took us a while to get used to the layout, much bigger than BWV. The spa is heavenly, as well as the fitness center. The CM's are fabulous. Welcome homes every where, smiles plentiful, just wonderful customer service. I'm not too sure about the concrete walkways in the buildings because of the nasty echo it can create. Great water slide.

The food court is probably one of the best on property. We had the Saratoga Springs House Salad today and it was to die for!

Any questions, ask away!

Glad to hear you had such a nice time! What services did you try out at the Spa?

(PS--I'm looking forward to trying out some of those salads at Artists' Palette...it'll be a nice change of pace from the typical burgers and fries!!)

Sarah,
I did the DVC massage (that's not what it's called). It was 1/2 swedish and 1/2 reflexology. It was wonderful. The price was $100 for 50 min (DVC discount). I think the regulart price is $120.

Enjoy!

Glad to hear you had a great time, don't suppose you or anyone else has any pictures of inside the rooms of a 2 bedroom at SSR. We go two weeks today can't wait...Did you notice if there was a bar where you could have a drink in the evening like they have at BWV and BCV

The Turf Club is a gorgeous bar that is open until 11. It has a pool table and gorgeous furniture. Unfortunately, DH and I never had time to have a drink there. During the day, there is a bar near the pool.
