Hi everyone,
I found so much useful info on these boards and wanted to give a brief review of our recent stay at Royal Pacific.

There were 5 of us (me, DH, DS-22, DS-14, and DD-10). We had 2 rooms on Club Level. We arrived around 1:30 pm and our rooms were ready which was a nice surprise. I had requested that they be connecting, but they said none were available which was a bummer especially since we actually connected with a room (just not my son's room).

The bell service was great and since our room was ready the bell person took us right up and told us a lot about the resort and how to get around. He took us in the Club Lounge and explained some features in our room.

We put our stuff away and headed down to the Islands Dining Room for a quick bite. The food was pretty good, but a little pricey for lunch at around $75 for 4 of us (DH took a later flight in). We could have walked over to City Walk for something cheaper, but we were all beat from an early morning and wanted to stay close.

I am going to just give highlights from this point out, so it won't be too long.

CLUB LOUNGE
-Great staff, very convenient to grab a soft drink, juice or coffee. Had to ask for water and it was never cold, which I thought was odd, but not a deal breaker.
-Food was good. There was 1 hot appetizer every night, plus a salad which usually had meat in it. There was also cheese/crackers and chips/salsa every night. The appetizer was always a meal type thing (beef with potatoes, noodles with chicken and sauce, fish with rice). We made a meal of this every night except for Thanksgiving as we had dinner reservations at Emeril's. They were very generous with the wine and beer and walked around topping folk's wine off.
-Dessert was cookies and usually 1 other item (mini cheesecakes, mini pastries, etc.). I really enjoyed the dessert a lot.
-Breakfast was cereal, fruit, oatmeal, pastries, milk, juices, coffee. They had a hot cinnamon roll pastry which was very good. We had this every day except once when we did the buffet at the Islands Dining Room, which I highly recommend.
-Computer was convenient for printing boarding passes. Didn't use it other then that.

ROOMS
-Was not at all impressed with the rooms. There was a lot of wear and tear in the room I was in. There was also a lot of dust and grime in areas that were not readily visible to the eye (sides of night stands, dresser, etc.). There was some sticky substance on the bathroom door that I couldn't wipe off with a wet towel. Not sure what that was. I didn't complain as it didn't affect my enjoyment of the trip, but I would definitely think twice about paying a premium for this hotel in the future.
-The rooms were small and I was very thankful that we didn't try to get all 5 of us in one. For 3 people it was fine. With 3 adults and 2 teens it would have been rough. My sons had a King Bed with a pull-out. That really opened up the room much more then our room which had 2 beds. However my son said the pullout was uncomfortable.

PUBLIC AREAS
-Everything was beautiful and very clean.

MISC
-We were awakened at approximately 2 am Thursday morning to a voice informing us that an alarm had been set-off, they were investigating and to remain calm. The alert repeated for approximately 10 minutes and then went off and no further updates were sounded. It woke everyone up, which of course in an emergency you would want. Unfortunately this was a false alarm. It was a pain, but things happen.

PARKS
-Having Express makes staying onsite worth it. We did early entry to HP twice and the first time I was surprised at how long it took us to get through the Castle (about 45 minutes), but then we tried to come over during a regular day and oh my gosh, we couldn't even get close to the entrance. It was an absolute zoo. Really made me appreciate the early entry. The next day we did early entry again and it was only about 25 minutes through the castle. We had butter beer (what yum, yum goodness that is), bought chocolate frogs and hats and other fun things. We did not get in to Olivanders. The line was just too long (almost an hour and a half).

We had a great trip overall and really enjoyed staying onsite. I would do it again, but might select Hard Rock as we really enjoyed that resort several years back.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

The park opens at 8:00 when we go Dec 19th..so our early entry is 7:00!! :scared1:
We are not morning people, but to have that extra hour we can do it!! Thanks so much

Glad to hear you had a great trip in spite of some annoyances. I do have a few questions since we will be heading to RPR Club level on the 17th-22nd.

What room were you in and what view did you have?

It sounds like the food offered on CL is enough to stand in for breakfast and dinner, but what about lunch? Did you see what was offered then?

Also, what hours is the club area open? We are morning people and plan to be waiting at the gates when they do early open and hope that we can grab a bite in the club before we head out.

Did they have computers for your use or wifi for your own computer?

Thanks for any info!

Me and my family of 6 was there also Nov.24-28.We had 2 standard king rooms with 2 roll-aways.We also wanted connecting but they could not give it to us either. We had very loud people in the room next to us.I also found the room to be unclean.Condom wrapper under my bed was not nice at all.Did not complain either.:confused3.We have stayed at Hard Rock before but out of all 3 we perfer the Portofino bay.

We had rooms 3754 & 3756 and they were highway views.

Defintely couldn't do lunch there imho. They offered encrustables, trail mix, chips, fruit (oranges, apples), coffee, juice, pop.

The club lounge opens at 7:00 am. They said breakfast would be out by 7:30 at latest and perhaps a little earlier. We didn't go much before 7:30, so I can't say how early it was out.

Did they have computers for your use or wifi for your own computer?

No wifi in the lounge that I was aware of, but they had one computer for guest use. There is wifi in the lobby.

Thanks for any info!

Hope this helps.

Sorry to hear you had problems too. Hopefully you all had a great time despite them.

Went ahead and changed ressie over to CL based on the projected crowds, figured if nothing else we could graze in the lounge if we wound up dining late. Also gives us a place to crash if our room is not ready when we arrive. I had to book king with request for sleeper sofa/rollaway for younger daughter. I'll cross my fingers that a double will open up before we check in!
