Just Back from Royal Plaza DTD

Just back from 6 nights at the Royal Plaza at DTD. Booked 2 nights through Expedia (package), then called the hotel to add 4 more nights at the Mousesaver rate, then upgraded from a standard room for additional $10/night.

We were in room 617, had a great view of Downtown Disney and could see the search lights every evening. However, if you looked down you would only see the top of the adjacent building.

Rooms were clean and just enough for a family of 5 (3 kids ages 7-10-12). The bathroom was a big plus, especially with the huge corner roman tub - would soak our tired legs and bodies every evening - kids loved the little yellow rubber ducks housekeeping left!

Glad to hear you had a good time. We are staying there in june, and have the Executive King Tower Suite, just curious did you have the whirlpool tub? If you did, How many people does it hold? Also, how was the transportation to the parks? Did you use the lounge, any pool tables?

How long is the walk to Down town Disney? What are the standard rooms like? The view from them? How is the bus service?

The Royal Plaza is approximately a 20 minute walk from DD along Hotel Plaza Blvd. We have not stayed there in a few years, so i can't provide an updated info, but it is most enjoyable and so close to everything - Crossroads Shopping Center, restaurants, DD and highway I 4. Excellent location. Hopefully, someone who has been there more recently can help out with more information.
