Just got back last night. We had a great time. The hotel was very nice. We bought the meal deal and sipper cups on two of our days. Great deal. Choose any entree off the menu at participating locations. Includes entree and choice of small bundt cake, cookie or jello cup. I'll be glad to answer any questions.

That's where I'm staying when I go back in a few weeks. What kind of view did you have? I always try and get a view of the IOA park. I don't guess you know off the top of your head how many of the RP wings have the IOA view?

We were in room #3219. Only parking lot view. Not sure about the other rooms and the views.

Here's the view we had: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=13353690#post13353690 ****scroll to top of page****

Tower 1 is best for view of IOA..... i believe these rooms face IOA: ODD #1718-1733 and EVEN: 1740-1754.
Pool view i believe is: even 1700-1718. This is 7th floor...probably would be the same for all floors except the first two numbers wouldn't be 17 (tower 1, floor 7), they can be: 1633, 1533, etc....not sure how much the trees obstruct the view below 6th floor.
Make sure you ask for 7th floor of tower 1 w/ any odd number (or even) mentioned above. Good luck! :thumbsup2

Thanks, sounds like you are into this as much as me, I'm a real Universal nut. Wish I could live there.

Wow, yeah that is almost exactly the same view I had, hope to get it again, you must have been real close to where I stayed and I will request that section again for sure when I go back in a few weeks. Good pics, you're pretty hot too!

Welcome!! I planned for our past trip for a year!! I read this board everyday faithfully...and asked questions. I read the sticky on the RPR (now have to read the HRH sticky), so I knew what rooms to request and what ones to stay away from (I DO believe I would have had a view of I4 if I hadn't spoken up). Anyway, after our 5 days there, we bought the Bealls AP's (got 'em last nite for my birthday!) UO made such an impression on my DH, I'm having a hard time dragging him to Epcot for 2 days in Feb! But, just read everything you can, do your research, and you should have a fabulous time! (I'm actually looking for another pic I posted w/ a map of our floor from the back of our door w/ all the room numbers in the description....I'll let you know if I find it!)

Thanks, I have been there quite a few times, so there's not much I haven't done there, so my "planning" is more just talking about it, I haven't done everything at the Citywalk though, I went to the disco, hang at Jimmy Buffets a LOT, and maybe one or 2 other restaurants, but would be interested to hear about your favorite spots in City Walk. I have never done Emerils there, I have done the new one at RP, but not the old one, is it worth the hype?

We didn't eat at Emerils....we ate at: MARGARITAVILLE  twice! Pat O'Briens once ( :thumbsup2 ) and Mythos once.....we kinda ate "lunner" our last day at Confisco's :thumbsup2 In Feb. I'd like to try Bubba Gumps (never been to one) and maybe Finnegan's (or Lombard's).....pretty up in the air....still like to go back to MARGARITAVILLE  ! (tarheelmjfan's joke :lmao: )
Now that we have the AP's and we'll be travelling down to UO more often, my goal is to try every place there! I'm getting the impression that there's not really any "bad" places to eat at CW....more in the parks (counter service) you need to watch out for! But, if you eat, please post review! ;)

I've done most of the restaurants at the U property except for a few in City walk, and none at HRH, but in a hurry today, so can't post much, if you have any specific questions let me know, my favs are also Jimmy Buffets, Mythos, the Seafood restaurant by Jaws in the old park is really good, Confisco is also very very good, Cinnebon, the Portifino restaurants are all very good, Mythos my fav though. For fast food, seems to me the fast food at the IOA park is about comparable to others, none worse nor much better than typical fast food, except for the Enchanted Oak if you want to call that fast food I don't know, but it is very very good for fast food. Also the Jurassic Park main lodge restaurant is decent for fast food, probably not the best spot in the place, but worth going for the views of the waterfalls of the river adventure. Luuuuuvvvvv the bars at Mythos and Enchanted Oak for bars they are great, as long as you don't mind losing a few George Washingtons. But my attitude when I go is money is no object since there is no way to avoid blowing a lot of money anyway. Gotta go.
