We were at Port Orleans Riverside Nov. 2-8 and we found the resort as enjoyable as always. For the first time I faxed a request to the room assigners, last year we loved our room location and I gave them the exact room number we had and they put us in a room several doors down and it was another corner room just like our room last year. We were in building 15 where we could park our van right outside the door practically. I didnt even mention anything about requests when I checked in and when she gave me my room number I couldnt stop smiling. I dont know if it happens very often that faxing your requests helps but it certainly did this time, the guy next to me wanted the same thing we had, building 15 near the bus stop and I heard them tell him there was nothing available. Other thoughts: food court was good (we always enjoy eating here) had towel animals every day and housekeeping was good, used the quiet pool (main pool was too crowded) and the boat ride to downtown disney was as relaxing as always!

I didnt hear anything about that, but I have to admit I didnt explore the resort as much this time so its possible they could have had campfires and I didnt know it. That sounds like fun!

thinking of staying at POR for first time 4/04. 2 adults only 3 nights, is size about same as Carribean Beach, we cant decide between POR and CB. In past have stayed at WL and loved it but this is a quicky vacation to see daughter march in parade o Main Street with school band and really dont want to spent deluxe level accomidations any commets would be great

joyfulsnuff: I stayed at POR bldg 15, corner room, Oct 2002, 5 nights. I really loved the location. The foodcourt, bus stop and parking lot are very close to this building. The theming and landscapping is so nice. We put disney window clings (Halloween themed) in our windows, the mousekeeping staff left towel animals and arranged them to welcome us home after our visits to the parks.

boyscoutbuzz: I also stayed at CBR May 2003, 3 nights, Jamaica. We were very happy with the resort. The room size is larger and seems to have more storage space. Both resorts are beautiful. Since I have stayed at both resorts a number of times, I usually base my decision on what theme I am in the mood for. Tropcal CBR works best for me in Spring, after another cold WI winter.:sunny:

Thanks for the imput, in the mean time as i was reviewing sifferant sites, I found a real really great deal. Dolphin for 135 a night for teachers and nurses so we will go woth that, never stayed there and figure it will be the best for my buck
