Hello,

well, our trip is over...I must ay we had a FABULOUS TIME at POR. Everything went perfectly. We had reqested Building 85, which we got, and we were five minutes from everything. We never waited for a bu more than 5 minutes, and never had to stand. Food court was perfect, very nice CM's, and because I had read about the "small" rooms of moderates I was pleasantly surprised.

Two points to improve: towels were a little tired, adn the service at Boatwrights pretty slow.

Any questions, I would be happy to help!

I agree that service at Boatwrights was kind of slow. We were there in Sept and it took forever to get our food for dinner. Breakfast was pretty quick, but not nearly as busy at dinner was.

Thanks for the post DH and I will be arriving there in 4 days for our 25th wedding annv. I am so excited that I bet I wont be able to sleep:cool1: :yay:

Thanks for the review. I am glad that you liked the POR. It is one of our favorite resorts!

Isn't that a great place? Did you see Bob Jackson's show? Did you rent a surrey bike?
I love to wander the paths there (good thing, 'cause I always wander around looking for my room for the first couple days! :rotfl: ).
Thanks for the review.

I'm going in Nov to celebrate my 39th anniversary, which was actually in Sept. but it is still too hot for me then, [Medical issues]. We have stayed at POR aka, Dixie Landings on many trips and I always like it there.

It is really a very pretty resort! We stayed in the Acadian house and every morning I would walk to the foodcourt to get my coffee and I loved the music that was played near the pool. Although a few days we were there we had a HUGE thunder storm in fact it was the first night of the MNSHP..something must have happened to the music because after the storm I never heard it again. Just a word of caution...watch out for the slippery steps when it rains. The first night we were there we were haeding to Epcot it was lightly raining and my DH went right down the steps on his butt all the way down!! There was a yellow caution sign saying slippery when wet...and let me tell you that is true! The rest of the week we just about tippy toes down the steps.

We loved POR! We stayed in Acadia House, too. Close to everything, QUIET and still active and vibrant. We are booked again for next year.

Glad to hear you had a Wonderful stay at POR.
We were there last month and Loved the resort.
We also stayed in the Mansions (my favorite side).

Loved the Create your Own Pasta Station in RiverMill
so much so that we have made our own pasta at home
just like the one we order at the RM and call it PO Pasta.

Did you take the carriage ride? I'm thinking about booking this for DH and I in January, but wondering if it's worth the time?

Glad to hear you otherwise had a great time, though!! :goodvibes

Hello,

we did want to do a carriage ride but they were all booked up, so I would suggest you book as soon as you get there to avoid disappointment. It looked like such a peaceful outing!

Glad to hear the good news about POR! Another positive post on the busses as well!:) We will be there in only 3 days, 20 hours, and 36 minutes, but who is counting!!!:lmao:

We took the carriage ride. It was very, very nice. I would do it again.

I forgot to mention Boatwright’s service in my right up. It took FOREVER at dinner time. Breakfast was fine, but dinner was extremely slow.

Carriage ride was definitely worth it. Very relaxing and you can bring drinks on board too!

We are looking at going back to WDW this summer and POR is on our list of places to stay. Your comments only make us wish summer was coming sooner than it is. :santa: :yay: :cheer2:

My fiance and I will be honeymooning at POR January 6-13, 2008. We are very young (19 and 21) so our budget was limited and didn't allow for a deluxe hotel. It's nice to hear such wonderful things about this resort, I'm looking forward to staying here very much. This will also be our first time to WDW period, so along with it being our honeymoon it will also be our first trip :) I'm so excited!!

Did you book a carraige ride? That would be nice for you on your honeymoon.
