We stayed 7 nights and overall we had a nice stay. The hotel is cute, clean and my son loved it. We stayed in the 70's building on the fourth floor facing the lake. It was quiet (except for the toilets) and very close to the main building. We didn't request anything in advance, it was only at check in I asked to be close to the main building. The mousekeeping was fantastic and I was thrilled that we got a towel "basket" (not animal), which we have never received before (even at the YC).

There were some minor issues though, however, nothing that really put a damper on the stay, but just thought I would point out:

The bus service was very efficient to every park EXCEPT the Magic Kingdom. Monday night there were about 450 people in line to go back the hotel and not enough busses. Morning lines were also jam packed and not enough busses. Sometimes we would see MGM, AK or Epcot busses pulling up back to back while everyone stood around and waited and waited for a MK bus. They definately need more busses, especially at a resort that has over 4,000 rooms. We were never really pressed for time, so it wasn't that big of a deal to US, but I heard MANY people complaining.

Food court - S L O W service at the pizza area. You would think they would make a batch of mini pizzas so they are ready for the guests, but apparently they make them when you order them so you are standing there for 6 minutes while they cook it. Very annoying, especially when you are hungry. They never seemed to have enough people working in the pizza area either.

Maybe it's an effort to conserve water, but the bathroom sink had no water pressure. Made it really hard to rinse out toothbrushes and the like.

The remote control didn't turn the TV off or on. It only flipped the channels. Maybe this was just my room, who knows.

Itchy beds!! DS said they were itchy too. I thought there were bed bugs (after all the talk on the boards), so I examined my sheets, looked at the mattress, and didn't find anything. I do have bites all over my legs though and they don't look like mosquito bites but could be from another outdoor bug. Maybe it's the detergent they use that was making us so itchy.

Again, like I said, nothing too bad, just little things that were annoying. We will definately stay at POP again :)

I have a really mild bleach allergy and when I stay in hotel I always get ichy. I guess because of the bleach used to clean the sheets. Some hotels don't bother me that bad and some make my life miserable. And it's not the "level" of hotel that determines it. The worst one lately was the Grand Sherton in Sacramento. One of my favorite hotels, but really ichy sheets the last time I stayed. For me it's better if they DON'T change the sheet everyday.

We just got back from CR (last night) and I noticed kinda itchy beds as well. I have little red bumps all over my ankles. Thought it was misquitos, as I was the only one who got those, but who knows...

Harsh detergents can cause outbreaks of rash-like symptoms such as the little red dots. They may be using harsher detergents to elimnate such problems as bed bugs. The end result being that people react from the cleanser.

Still, I would submit that I prefer a reaction to cleanser as opposed to the alternative.
