My DW and I just got back from Pop this week. We loved the place. We have stayed at all levels of Disney accomodations and had everything we needed at Pop.(OK a Hot Tub would've been nice) We arrived on the 6th at noon and checked in. A king room was available. It was on the 4th floor of the 50s building that overlooked the pool and Tramp. It was quiet and we didn't find the turbo toilets bothersome at all. I am an early riser and only had to deal with heavy crowds at the food court once, and that was no biggy. We enjoyed Petals, the poolbar, on a couple of occasions after the parks were closed. Bartender Gary was a good guy who was willing to learn a few of our favorite drinks like the Banana Split Martini and the Souther Belle. He was very patient and a lot of fun!!. We loved the atmosphere and the people were all very nice, especially Dave at Guest Services.

We tried to find Tyler, but no luck. The people at the front desk said he was just as nice in person as he seems on line. The busses were prompt and the drivers were very nice. All in all a great experience!! We will visit Pop again.:D ::yes::

I love Pop Century. I stay there quite a lot.

The only thing I have a problem with is the next door neighbors who prop the door open with the swinging latch and run in and out, banging the door constantly. Why does this always happen at PC?

thanks for sharing we are staying at the POP in March.

A hot tub is great, if you own in, but I have seen too many reports
on the things lurking or growing in public hot tubs, so count yourselves lucky you didnt have to take the risk, health wise.
cuz you never know!

glad you had a great trip!:sunny:

Glad you enjoyed Pop Century. Unfortunetly, now that I have returned to driving, I've become 'elusive' and hard to find again. :)

We stayed at Pop Century in July - and we loved it!!! And, we got to meet Tyler!!!!!

The food court was great, bus service was wonderful, room was nice and quiet (we were in the 60s bldg and our room overlooked the kiddy pool)!

We'll be back in December!!!

oh yea!!!

fast becoming one my WDW favorite resorts. I find it different from the other value resorts. More for us older people (adults) than the kids that the All star was designed with in mind.

definitely miss the hot tub. but hey what could the moderates then offer folks....PC has most of the stuff that people want now!

:D Nice to see more and more good reviews of POP since DW and I will be there 12/3 - 12/7. :D

Glad to hear you enjoyed POP. My sister and her dd and 2 dgs will be there in November. I wasn't much help to her because we've never stayed at a Value so I'm glad to let her know how much you enjoyed it.

Thanks for the "couples" review. DW & I will be at POP Fe. 5-9. Can't wait!

Another 'couple' here who were there from 9/16-9/25 and LOVED IT too!! We are fun people and we love to act silly and have a great time. No stuffy resorts for us, we love POP!

one question about petals... We didn't stop there during our trip, but we saw a sign that said 'one drink per resort ID card only.' Does this mean that they only let each person order one drink during each trip to the bar? Is there a time period for this that the person could come back again later? We didn't understand and felt stupid asking ;)

Not Sure but I think the sign at the bar means that one person cant buy 2 drinks at a time to keep from serving underage drinkers. As in if you are 18 and your friend is 21 they could not go up and buy 2 drinks.

Someone can purchase 2 drinks at the bar but they need the drivers license for the person they are purchasing the drink for. My DH would run down to the bar to grab us each a drink but he needed to show the bartender my ID too.

We loved Pop this past August. We were there during Hurricane Frances. Had a great time, will be staying there during our next trip. Which, I hope will be in December or January!

Thanks guys! I'm really not normally that much of an idiot ;) I don't know why it just didn't make sense to me. Man! We missed out. Maybe next time!
