Hi all just back from the Pop Century, and all I can say is wow and I glad to be back.....Bear with me this is my first trip report, Lets start off with Arrival, it was great, we Surprised my DD 4 with this trip and she thought we were going fishing, but when we got to the big banner that says you are in WDW we told her wear she was, very exciting, that was neat......Check in was nice, was greeted with Juice and cookies in the lobby and no line for check in, we also arrived at 2:00pm and our room was ready so went upstairs to unpack and get ready for dinner over at 1900 park Fare at 5:40pm....
The Lines at the busse were short, the whole time we were there even when they were the most busiest we didnt wait long for a bus, and that was nice....Took the bus then monorail over to the Grand Floridian, were we saw the Gingerbread house and walked around before checking in for our reservations, again we had more cookies and juice, (a life saver for us hungry DD"S) Checked in early, actually asking a question and they seated us in 5 min, that was nice as well. 1900 Park Fare was a real nice place, The interaction with the Characters was real good, And prince Charming Kissing my DD4 hand was great. No Fairy Godmother but they had Belle instead.....The food I thought was excellent......wish they had more choices for the kids........
Had a bad experience when we got back to the room, Although I Loved the Pop it was a bit on the noisy side, but its understandable until I had some teenager banging on my door 3 times cause he was just checking in and didnt know the room number.....The kid banged on my door so hard it frightened me and woke up my kids, it was about 10 in the evening and we had just went straight to bed for an early start in the am....I finally opened the door and had a few choice words for him and he got angry with me,lol, I did call front desk and they had some one come talk to him and his parents.......But other than that I really enjoyed my stay at the Pop.... They do have thin walls but nothing I could'nt live with and they do have turbo toilets, thats what hubby called them but all in all I slept good and that is what counts, The staff was very helpful and the place was clean and warm.....I also Had a great room location right in front of Lady and the Tramp, close to the food court which was very busy all the time, we ate in our room most of the time and that worked out great for us and the baby!!!
Epcot was wonderful, I always enjoy it there so much we went on the Monday after X-mas and we didnt encounter any lines or waits.....I loved seeing My dd enjoy all the countries and we got to do the Character greet first thing in the am...The only thing was no Soarin....They had a 170 min, wait most of the day and fast pass distribution was done for the day around 2 pm.....
Tuesday was an off day no park, went to have lunch at Fultons Crab House, It was nice, a bit pticey but nice and enjoyed a real nice glass of wine there....Downtown Disney is always fun.....They have new Lego Statues since last we were there.....Went to explore Animal Kingdom Lodge and dind the baby Giraffe and we saw him from far, real cute.....really liked it there, the decor was beautiful, must put that on my must stay list......Had Strawberry Daquri's while the kids watched the animals....Went home for an ealry start at Mk the next Day!!!!
My Biggest dissapointment was the Magic Kingdom...WOW when everyone on the boards warned me of the crowd level I never imaginned I would have exprienced what I did at MK....The pushing and shoving and rudeness of the place was unbearable.....Never in all my times coming to the MK have I ever been shoved but I was this time, and it wasnt even on Xmas day but 3 days later.....We went early took advantage of the Early magic Hours, 7am to 8am
Did all the DD's favorites first.....fast passed what we wanted to do and went to have Breakfast at CP, was nice, I always enjoy the food there but the Character interaction was limited....Dont think I'll do that one again......It was over very quickly......After breakfast went over to the PhilharMagic which was was so cool.....and to Pirates and then took a rest and found a spot to see the parade....This is where the rudness begins and the shoving and craziness.....Found a spot for my DD parked the Strollers and got comfortable, this lady shoved me over and sticks her child infront of my child and he inturn pushes my dd to the ground then she procedes to push me as well......I was madder than well I wont say it but I did fire back at her, it was a bad situation and neither of us budge from our spot which led to a very stressful parade....after that, thats all I encountered all over.....We decided to walk to The Train Station and take the train over to Toon town, MK decided that they were going to close the Handicap/stroller ramp and if we wanted to get on we had to go up the stairs with out strollers. Not very conveinient and I wasnt a happy camper, folded up the strollers and up we went for a wait of about 45 min for the train.....Went to Toon Town were there wasnt even space to park the strollers, By this point I was done, You could put a fork in me done...we decided to go home and sleep maybe come back in the evening for firewroks, Only I came back that evening and the crowds were worse..Total gridlock after the fireworks show....I did get to see Tink and that was special but then headed back home.......All in all not much magic for me....Wont do the Holidays again... MGM was nice, it was my first time and I enjoyed it although the bathroom service could have been better.....no paper in 2 different bathrooms but it was quite crowded.....All in all it was a good trip. My daughters enjoyed themselves, but we wont be back during this time again... Too much money was spent and we didnt enjoy as much as we wanted.....So when they ask is it crowded during the holidays and everyone says yes....LISTEN!!! I should have!!!!
