Pop was great, but DS has a stomach bug (all the symtoms!). He even threw up in the car on the way home!!!! PC was VERY nice (the mod of the values!) and the rooms were especially nice, BUT we were longing for the WL when we were trapped (by the rain) in our room and starving (dinner time). Did Mk, Epcot- no waits at all!!!!! Will post a trip report soon, but DS needs me!!!!

So sorry your DS was ill...hope rest of your stay was good.

I hope he's feeling better now. Hopefully the rest of your trip was magical.

We got home last night after a long day of traveling. My poor DS 4yr old threw up on the plane (thank god for the change of clothes I had on carry-on). My 6yr old DD threw up on bus heading back to PC from Ohanas on Saturday night also. Weird bug, they don't seem sick really, no fevers and it seemed that after they vomited they were ok. Hope your little one is feeling better soon.

My 4 year old had the same thing after being at POP 2 nights. She threw up in the rental car (what a mess) and then was fine and went swimming a few hours later. That is very strange that we all had it happen

??
you are freaking me out a bit with the stomach stuff from PC. We will be there just 1 night pre cruise and don't want to have any problems with quarantine on the ship; Just wondering if you can remember what your kids ate at the pop century food court prior to their getting sick???
Thanks
Chris Mitchell

No Worries, I haven't heard any stories till now about guests getting sick at the resort, I mean nothing like this! I can reassure you that it's not the food. Lately a bug has just been going about! It's a florida thing, even the cast members have been getting it, it hits and then a day even hours later, all better!

Joshua, should I put "bucket" on my packing list? ;)

I won't tell you how sick 5 out of the 6 of us got when leaving our Florida vacation last spring vacation. Our poor van! :faint:

Definitely pack the bucket!!!!

Also, bring a humidifier. That room was SOOOOOOO DRY!!!!!!!! Nothing we did helped. All three of us really felt that it was very dry. Very hard to sleep.

Update: the doctor said he has a stomach virus and bronchitis. It is tues, still at home sick!!!

My DH won't even talk about the trip. He wasn't so impressed with PC. I thought it was great, but really missed those inside corridors!!!Once it is raining, that's it. You're stuck!!!

My nephew also got sick only it was at WDW. He threw up in middle of the night (those noisy PC flushes). At least he made it to the bathroom.

We were struck by the stomach bug too!!!! (January 04) (we stayed at the Beach Club). Luckily we were mostly sick when we got home...at least it didn't ruin our trip....I have since learned from a family friend to carry Bonine in case of stomach flu symptoms. I will never leave home without it now!!!!!

Sorrie that the room seemed dry, honestly when I stayed back in start of Dec. when the Resort was still in trial phase I had no room problems. I can only offer that if you get in your room and it feels to dry call us. Well send an engineer out and have him see why or what he can do! Because I promise, I don't knowabout everyone else at the resort but I would prefer to have everyone be elated with their stay. I take pride in my resort when I hear great things about it. Otherwise I don't know if I'd be on here to get a better perspective on all of your experiences. So in the long run, let us know we'll see what we can do! Oh, and now that it's getting hotter daily, the bug seems to be going away. Anywho, talk to you all later have a great evening!

OK, so now I am worried too...My Hubby and I are staying at PC Feb. 10th and 11th then going on the DCL Wonder for Valentine's Weekend. Should I be concerned about this "throw up bug" ???
I am 30 years old and I still want my Mommy when I get sick...hahaha...

Thanks in advance
Stacy

Nope I wish there was some way to prove it, but with the warmer weather now upon us, also no more sicky. As you might all well know in winter here it gets cold and then hot every other day, which causes people to get sick more easily, and then give it to others. But not so much the case, anymore. It's getting to warm for that kinda stuff anymore. So no worries all is right in the world, of Disney that is!

I didn't mean to scare anyone! Like I said it was weird, after my daughter threw up she seemed Ok. Likewise with my son, he vomited on plane and we still had about 6hours of travel time to go. He had no fever and other than having no appetite was really Ok. He even ate a bit of dinner a couple hrs later and was fine. Don't worry, one thing I would recommend is pepto bismal (I gave this to my kids) seemed to work like a charm.

Have Fun!! Daisy:sunny:

We just got back 2/3. A 2yo threw up on the plane right before take off - he had been at Disney too. It's just a bug that's going around. My daughter had it in chicago a few days before we left. You puke, then you feel better a few hours later.

We did not notice the rooms to be dry. At all.

And what's the big deal with the rain? Wear a poncho or raincoat, or carry an umbrella. I have never felt stuck in the rain.

Believe me, it's not just at WDW. Our whole family just ran through that stomach bug at home in good ole Alabama

It is not that unusual for anyone to have some stomach troubles on vacation. Most everyone eats more on vacation, and more rich and unusual food. Combine that with being flopped around on attractions and flopped around on buses and planes.

I would imagine there are folks that routinely have some vacation sour stomach.

Carol

Just this morning I got nauseated for a half hour or so, and now I'm fine again. I wouldn't worry that this is some "disney disease"... it's probably something that's going around everywhere (I live in Boston). After all, it IS flu season :crazy2:
