We just returned from Poly from June25- July 3. We were in Samoa 1604, and had a great time despite the rain rain rain that came down down down all the time!!!! The one thing I wish I had brought more of was bug spray and rain gear- I could have brought much less food and clothing. Any questions, fire away!!!

Please tell me why/where you needed the bug spray. We will be there in late July and have not thought much about mosquitoes.

We needed rain gear every day for most of the day. The locals were saying that much rain was atypical for July... we needed the bug spray for evenings at the Poly beach (VERY buggy / gnatty), maybe because of the humidity?! and we wished we had it on the evening jungle cruise we took (probably should have had malaria shots?!) My daughter cried until I got her "Sting eze" from the drug store for all her bites.... hopefully it won't be so bad when you go...

yes, the rain makes it a breeding ground for many a bug here with all the standing water!!

Did you bring snacks with you? is that why too much food?

We bring a bottle of aspirin with us when we go to WDW. If you make a paste with the aspirin and apply it to the mosquito bite soon after being bitten, the bite will disappear.

We find a good quality aspirin tends to dissolve better, so try it on your aspirin before you go.
