We stayed at the Poly 6/18-6/26 and had a great time. We were in Raratongo on the second floor, got our requested connecting non-smoking rooms and overlooked the quiet pool. Rooms were really clean and looked great. Couldn't hear the neighbors or the pool. Raratonga was really convienent to everything. No frig in the rooms, but called and they were delivered within 30 minutes. Had great meals at the Kona Cafe and O'hanas, Captain Cooks wasn't bad for light breakfasts and lunches. Grounds looked great, lots of flowers blooming. Kids (12 and 10) preferred quiet pool as volcano pool was always crowded, nice to have a choice. Watched Wishes three times from the beach. Rented sea raycers and a boat. Any questions I can answer?

You mentioned the boats / marina wondering if you did some sort of family or captins package for boating? or just rented at the time? Wondering if they still offer these packages.

Sounds like you had a great time. I liked Rarotonga too. Its a good building. See any construction, anywhere?

Glad you had a nice vacation. :sunny:

I also wondered about construction. Could you still see the empty shops behind the curtains near Captain Cook's or is there a construction wall there now? Any lanais being worked on that you noticed?

We just got back from the Poly too (6/17-6/25). We loved it as well. We were in Somoa on the 1st floor facing the volcano pool. We went to the Volcano pool and never found it to be that crowded, but then I am used to the public pool which is ten times worse. We didn't get a chance to go to Kona's (bummin because I really really wanted to try the Tonga toast). DH just found a website with many of the recipes from Disney so I will try to make my own Tonga toast at home and try to regain some of the magic.

There was no construction in the Great Ceremonial Hall. There was one set of "shops" that had the glass walls covered but those were located in back off the main hall next to Captain Cook's. I liked the new Boutiki set up.

Hey, could you share that website with us? Thanks!
