Just back yesterday from garden view, we had a wonderful time. Spent 4 nights on the 2nd floor then 3 nights on the 3rd floor to be near my sister and her family. Like the 3rd floor much better because you could step outside the room. 1st floor last year was fine. Poly concierge staff was very nice and accomodating. The building was close to full with many extended families like ours. One warning when my sister got there only one stroller was available (needed two for 4.5 year old twins) but she got the 2nd one the next day. Breakfast was just as nice as last year, they added hot oatmeal a nice touch. The pineapple bread was great also. We actually got to sample the appetizers this trip and they were very good on Monday and Tuesday evening. Lounge was crowded and we wound up taking the food back to our room. Deserts very good in the evening, especially the mousses in the chocolate cups. They even had little containers of Nestle Quick chocolate milk if you asked for it. Minibar in the room was great for water and soda.
Parks did not seem as crowded this year but the concierge building seemed more crowded, go figure. Temperature was hotter than last year.

Minibar? Did they add those minibars to concierge at Polynesian? They've never had the snack/soda things before. . .just curious--seems like a why bother with free sodas/snacks in the lounge to store in your refrigerator?

The mini bars are empty. I think LAWalz23 was just saying that they were good for keeping the soda and water from the lounge in.

Welcome back LAWalz23. Thanks for the report.

Steve

Could you smell smoke from the 3rd floor rooms? I am a non smoker with asthma and need to have a non smoking room. I would also love to be on the 3rd floor. Do you think I should just stick to the 1st or 2nd floors?

You are exactly right, Tikiman that is what I meant. It is easier to get it from your room than to go to the lounge sometimes.

Belle, there was a slight hint of smoke smell in the hallway but none in our room. There was a slight smoke smell in my sister's room and one night the hallway seemed to have more of a smoke smell. I would stay off the third floor. The first floor patios are very nice too. I just felt confined on the 2nd floor.
