Hi everyone,

We just got back from 8 days at the Poly - lagoon view. I will post my trip report when I have some time time. Everyone, was so helpful in helping me to plan my first trip to Disney, so if anyone has any questions I would be happy to try and answer them.

1) Why couldn't I have been there with you??????????? I haven't been in WDW since last Thanksgiving season, and don't plan to be back until Thanksgiving 2005, boo hoo!!!!

2) May I ask you how much the Poly cost?? I stayed there in lagoon view, 3rd floor Moorea (now Tahiti??) many years ago, I think Disney had better discounts back then (hint: Cindy's Castle looked like a birthday cake!!).. Anyway, since then I have discovered so many less expensive options I never made it back!!

Don't you ever weigh the alternatives, such as DVC point rental, or terrific Priceline deals??

Just wondering..... Believe me, I love the Poly, it is probably my fave, although BCV is pretty great too....

Sandy,

How did it go with your son's food allergies? Looking forward to your trip report.

Dave, this was our first trip to Disney, so we really didn't look into much else - we have 3 small children so we knew we wanted a monorail hotel. I don't know the breakdown of the price for the room only - we got a package with the ultimate park hoppers. We also got the 7 for 4 deal from the disney visa card.

redbirdgrad, Thanks for asking - everything was perfect concerning my son's allergies. Disney was very accomadating. Every meal, the Chef came out and we went over a menu of things he could eat. They would then bring it to him and then later they would come out and make sure he liked what they made. I was very impressed and it made our trip much better since I didn't have to worry about food for my son. Even at the buffets, most chefs would not let me take any food from the buffet table b/c of cross contamination - they would prepare something special for him.

Ahh, your first trip to the World, well you started at the top!!

I know what you mean about small kids and being on the monorail route... As they get older, you may favor the Boardwalk / Beach Club area as we do now, because it is walking distance from the International Gateway entrance to Epcot.....

It is fun to experience as many different WDW hotels as you can, they are all great in their own ways...

I hope your family has as many enjoyable trips to WDW as we have!!!
