Got back Sunday from 3 nights at POFQ - great resort! This was my first time in a moderate (will be staying at CBR in January).

I had stayed in at the Marriott Grande Vista resort prior to POFQ, and their check out is 10am. I drove over to POFQ and was very happy to know that I could check in early (even before their check out time). I was given room 3228 (bldg 3, 2nd floor), and was able to get a fridge (no charge)...I dropped off my stuff and went exploring. Everything was in good shape, and well taken care of. My friend arrived that afternoon, dropped her bag off at the hotel, then it was off to MK for Night of Joy.

The only negative things I would have to say would be:
1. it appears Mousekeeping didn't do the best job with a vaccum....I found a pair of men's shoes under my bed (sticking out a little)
2. due to the rain from Frances and Charley, boats weren't running btwn POFQ, POR, and DTD. Of course, Disney has no control over Mother Nature.

I would have no problems staying here again. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I think they were short on help in Mousekeeping. During our stay last week, we ran into some friendly CMs helping out who normally work in the parks. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this resort too!

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the POFQ. We are staying there for the first time in December. In your opinion, which is the best bldg to be located in if you want peace and quiet? ::MickeyMo

I'm glad to hear that you really enjoyed the resort. This will be our first stay at POFQ. We are traveling with 2 other families. I hope everyone likes the choice I made. I was wondering about the fridge. Did you request it at check-in or did you reserve one proir? I was going to bring the electric cooler (On the plane!!) to save the $80 charge, but now I hope I'll get one for free. Thanks for the update.

Glad you had a nice time at POFQ! (Besides that free pair of men's shoes! LOL)

I also would like to know about the fridge - did you request one for medical reasons and that it why they waived the charge - always thought that the cost of renting one was really expensive.

The fridges are free now at all Deluxe and Moderate resorts. They are working on getting them installed in each room, but until they do, you just have to request one at check-in, and they will put it in the room at no charge.

great news about the fridges>>good coffee and real creamer!

Hi everyone.....

I would definately stay at POFQ again.

I requested the fridge before I left - once I read that the moderates were starting to offer them for free (I bought a styrofoam cooler). I did ask about it at check in too, and it was a few hours before it was delivered to the room.

I didn't request any particular building - just 2 beds nonsmoking. Getting there as early as I did I didn't care what bldg I was given. Normally, I wouldn't have wanted a bldg so close to the "main" area (food court, etc) as I would have thought it would be too noisy.....but it was fine.

I would think that the least noisy areas would be the farthest from the pool area---so bldgs 1, 6,7 - - maybe someone else can offer their opinion on that too.

Hope this answers some ?'s === let me know if there's anything else.
