We had a fun week. Very HOT and from what everyone was saying "more rain then they had seen in a long time" When we left this AM the weather man was saying "just 3/4 of an inch more and we'll be at the normal average yearly rainfall". The rain by the way, stops no one, just put on a poncho and keep going!! The parks were pretty crowded (but we are used to Sept. crowds, so I might not be your best judge) but got everywhere we wanted too! Ate some great food ! We got to ride Winnie the Pooh with Eeyore!!!:Pinkbounc I've been to Disney two other times(both Sept.) so this time I took good notes and hope to write a trip report.

Glad you had fun, other than the rain. When I saw the unhappy face I was worried you didn't enjoy your stay. I'll have to pack the ponchos for our trip in 2 weeks.

Sounds like a great trip. Glad to hear the area's getting some rain; they need it.

Saw your sad face and I expected a bad report too. Glad that's not the case. Perhaps you just meant you're sad the trip is over?

The sad face was for being home. Even with all the rain we had a good time. The resort was very nice. It was our first time there (we are Carribean Beach people, but it was booked) so I don't know anything before they closed POFQ. The resort is very small (compared to the Carribean) that made for easy walking. The boat to DTD was great and we did it several times. It was very similar to CBR's setup...the beds, sinks, bathroom. The food court was nicely laid out, and you paid for everything at one time. Anyone who has been to CBR knows it's the exact opposite which lead to me leaving the area several times without paying:eek: (always went back to pay). Never had any problems with the buses, always seemed to be one there. Houskeeping always a nice job and entertaining (towel animals), the kids were thrilled! The kids (and adults) enjoyed the pool and the Dragon Slide!

Exactly what I needed to hear. Sounds like we can count on enjoying our second stay at POFQ in Aug. Thanks for your review!!
I was worried about the buses. But you seemed to be happy. Were you still sharing with PO-R?
Thanks again!

TerryN,
What did you think of the condition of your room? Was it recently
painted or the carpets recently shampooed? Thanks.

Yes the buses are still shared with POR but POFQ are dropped off first and picked up first. If the buses are full after the first two pick-ups they go to there destination, but if they're not you continue through POR. It's an enjoyable ride.
Winniemouse,
In my opinion the bathroom could have used a bit of sprucing up. A little bit of bleach on those tiles would have woked wonders--but certainly not enough to be disgusting. I purposely looked at the rugs before we left and they were fine. Everything else was good!

Thanks! I don't mind sharing. That's how it was in April 2001 and we had no problem. They also sometimes went straight to a park without going to POR

TerryN,

Glad you had a good time. We also like CBR but are staying at POFQ in December. In your opinion which is the best resort?

Thanks,

Maria

I will also be travelling in December but I will be going alone. I was wondering if you could tell me where to request a room for peace and privacy. Thanks for your help!!!!

dave&maria,
My heart will always belong to CBR, but POFQ rooms are identical to CBR so they are very much alike. The food court took a bit of adjusting to (paying for everything together) but given sometime I think I would adjust . My husband liked the fact that the foodcourt runs at 11pm were so much closer. It's too hard to say which was best, you'll have to let me know your opinion in Dec.;)
Brynnie,
We stayed in building #4 4231. The resort is so small everything seemed pretty private. We heard no noise, and hardly ever passed anyone, except at the food court. It seemed that there are no rooms directly around the pool(probably the noisest place) so that wouldn't be a problem. You might try looking at the map of the resort(I'd give you a link if I knew how:confused: ) I think anything you choose would do just fine. Enjoy!!

Thanks TerryN for your reply.
I glad you didn't think the rooms were in too bad of condition.:D
