Hey all! We've been back almost a week from our trip! We had a BLAST! I'm slowly but surely sharing my experiences (see restaurant board for my dining reviews).

We stayed five nights and POFQ and would call it an unqualified SUCCESS!!! We LOVED this resort. Hubby chose it for its small size and spot on the bus route and that's EXACTLY why we'd stay there again.

We were in building 1, room 1226. You know the pic on allearsnet.com of the river? Yeah, that was the view from our room! VERY nice and peaceful to see and (not) hear.

We had a king room that met all of our needs! We loved it! Mousekeeping was great; she even left us a towel animal and a towel toothbrush holder! If I could figure out how to post a picture, I would :rolleyes1 Clean towels, we noticed a spot on the sheets one day but we didn't get bent out of shape about it; it was obvious it had been washed. I just don't freak out about stuff like that. I mean, honestly, how often do you hear about someone dying from hotel sheets??? Besides, I'm an elementary school teacher; if I freaked out about germs, my day would be miserable.....

Even though we were as far from the food court as you could get, it only took 3 min. tops to get there. We ate there only 2 times, not counting the beignets and soda refills. (BTW, I saw some people using old mugs. I had to smile). Food was ok. Not great but it did in a pinch.

So BIG thumbs up for POFQ! We would definitely stay there again! Although we're trying to convince FIL, MIL, SILx2, and BIL to come with us. If that happens, we'll be doing BWI. We fell in love with it!

Any other questions, feel free to ask!

Thanks for the post! We'll be taking the kids to POFQ in April -- DS3 can't wait to go down the slide! :earsboy:

EthansMom (and Molly's too)

Thanks for posting!! So glad you had a nice trip :) DH and I stayed there in Jan and LOVED it.....definitely a favorite resort for us....and with good AP rates, it can't be beat....

Thanks for the nice review I have always wanted to stay at POFQ!

We'll be staying there in Dec...I can't wait! can you tell me about how long the bus rides were to the various parks?? We're use to staying at ASMo and you can get to any of the parks in about 10mins (less for AK, slightly more for MK) but of course there's the wait for the bus.....and then the walk up to security checkpoints and waiting to enter. I noticed UG has the times from POFQ as being considerably longer...just curious.

Thanks!

Thanks for the great review! We were there in 2001 and will be there again in July. We love it and the slide is great!

Thanks for the great reviews. DH, DS5 and I will be there in June for our first trip to WDW. Cant wait. DS too, cant wait to go down that slide.
Hearing great things about POFQ lets me know I made a great choice.

Thanks for the good review. We hope to stay at POFQ on an upcoming visit. Did it seem to be "clean and fresh" after the recent refurb? You mention thta it was only 3 minutes to the FC, how about the bus stop? Was it equally convenient? TIA

Thanks for the report! We'll be there in a couple of days and we're soooo looking forward to going on this trip!

Thanks for the review!! We stayed here in September and we loved the resort too!! It's so small and quiet it's great!! :teeth:

I stayed there in 2001 on a solo trip and chose this resort again for DH who really hates long walks in the resort.

Everything at FQ is so close and so pretty too!

We also love POFQ. I have nothing bad to say about it!!! We are planning on going in Oct. The only problem is no more AAA rooms left at POFQ. We will (by force, not choice) have to stay elsewhere. Don't want to push my luck with waiting for AP rates to come out! princess:

We are staying there in November. Glad you liked it. It sounds so nice. You said the food at the food court was only ok, Did that include the breakfast menu? How was it?

We stayed there for a night in December between a Disney Cruise in Port Canaveral and a Carnival Cruise out of Tampa.

It was me, my husband, and 2 sons. Had 2 connecting rooms on the 3rd floor of bldg. 2 - loved this setup as it felt like lots of space. Our rate was great - 85.00 per room per night with an AP discount. The previous April we had stayed at CR in a Tower room and enjoyed that as well but this was far less expensive and enjoyed it just as much. We also stayed at the Poly last year and prefer POFQ - seemed cleaner, fresher, and brighter.

We found the room was clean, comfortable, and well done decor-wise. We weren't awfully impressed with the restaurant. Food was fine, service was slow, but servings were way too big. I'd prefer smaller portions and pay less :-)

the only issue we ran into was waiting for a bus to get back to POFQ from MGM. It was almost an hour wait, and that's between busses, and the line snaked around the waiting area and own the sidewalk. All other resort's buses came several times and not one to the POFQ folks. Decided I'll drive to the parks next time since we're staying on site and don't have to pay parking.

POFQ is certainly worth the money.

Thank you for your review :) I'm leaving for my stay at POFQ in just 10 days!! :cool1: First time there and now I'm looking forward to it even more. It's always so nice to read great positive comments.
