Our little guy had his 9 month well baby visit today, and the doctor said he is doing GREAT! YEAH!! I know he seems to be doing really well to us, but it is always nice to hear it from a doctor. Since Paul doesn't have any real issues, the only doctor's appointments he has are normal well baby visits with his regular pediatrician.
He is up to 13 pounds and 3 ounces - still small, but not bad considering he started off at 1 pound and 7 ounces! And he is 24 inches long. He was 12 at birth.
He is giggling, babbling, rolling all over the place, and getting really close to crawling for real. (Right now he can just sort of drag himself around.) He loves to stand up and the doctor said his legs are really strong.
The doctor said it was really amazing that he hadn't had so much as a runny nose so far this winter. Evidently, that's really unusual for preemies - especially those that start off really tiny. He also said how great it was that Paul was still nursing, which made me feel really good. He's never had any formula at all, but now he is eating some solid food and he REALLy enjoys it!
He really didn't have anything else to say, just that he would see us back for our 1 year visit.
I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders. For some reason, I am always really nervous about these visits!
I promise to post some new pics as soon as I get a chance!
