This was our first visit to an onsite hotel. And we were blown away. We fell in love with everything and can't wait go back. Even Dh was thrilled.
We were happy enough that we discussed cutting back some of our WDW days in Dec and adding to the US part of our Dec trip. Not sure if that will happen but we are considering it.
We stayed on the 5th floor. We just loved the level of service. Everyone was very happy and friendly and willing to help with anything.
The one morning our DD woke up with a fever and of course we couldn't find our thermometer since I had just packed everything for the trip home that afternoon. So we called star services and they sent up 2 first aiders within 5 mins with a thermometer. And called back to see if she had any other symptoms or if we needed anything else for her.
We ordered room service the night we got there because DD was tired and grumpy. We only ordered a pizza and some chicken fingers but they still served it like it was a gourmet meal ! They brought in a table that fits between the beds and has leafs that pull up to make it bigger. They have the food in a nice little warmer under the table and told us to call for them to pick it up when we are done or just put it outside the door and they would collect it later.
Pizza was great ! Only thing we didn't know what that the gratuity was already added to the bill and since I didn't look at it I tipped again before finding that out lol. Oopps. 10.00 tip on a 25.00 order.
We tried the dining plan one day and found it not worth it on the days the park closes early. we would of spent less had we purchased the 2 meals we ate out of pocket. They were both under 8.00 so we paid 25.00 for 16.00 worth of food lol.
So when we go back in Dec we won't do the dining plan and just pay for the meals we decide to have.
The walk to the parks was great. Nice and short. We tried the boat as well and that was nice too. And we didn't have to fold up the stroller to ride the boat which thrilled me !
