Just back from our MAGICAL and WET trip!!!

We were there during the start of your trip, and left on the 30th, just as the heavy rains were starting (we actually drove through quite a bit of them on Wednesday).

I thought the crowds were pretty good, while not quite as low as I had hoped, we are rope droppers and so we still got our 3 rides on Everest at AK and 2 rides on TSMM at HS first thing! We also had amazing cast members -- I upgraded our tickets to APs, and the CM actually ran out of guest services after me because she realized she could reimburse me for the Memory Maker I had purchased when I first got our tickets! So I promptly re-spent that money in the parks. :rotfl2:

Sounds like you had a great trip...and wonderful to hear that the rain did not spoil your days. We're planning a trip for next year around same time (you Canadian with schools starting labor day?) but have decided on Disneyland because of the rain. But sounds like it really helped lessen the crowds.

Haunted Mansion is one of my favorite rides. I've noticed it's dark on YouTube (cause of photography?), but I didn't notice it when riding it. Wonder what happened to the headless horseman at the Boo To You Parade. It was there in 2014.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

We are from New Jersey. Different towns in NJ go back on different days, but my kids normally go back on the Wednesday or Thursday after Labor Day. This is our second year in a row going at this time and the crowds have been low.
Another poster commented that the headless horseman was missing because the streets were not completely dry, which sounds right. He was at the 2nd parade...I'm bummed I missed him.
As far as the Haunted Mansion...that is one of my favorite rides also and I felt like both times I rode, I was straining to see anything. Maybe my eyes were not adjusted to the darkness.

That is awesome service! I asked a cast member the best way to get to Tiffins in Animal Kingdom and he actually walked us there! He chatted with us during the personal escort! It was really sweet.
The woman that checked us in at Beach Club was less than friendly, but besides her, I found the cast member service to be excellent.
