Just back from our first MNSSHP

Hi all, just back from our first MNSSHP. It was fantastic. The fireworks are the best I have seen, even better than when we were there at Christmas a few years ago. It was also Baby Taylors first trip. She loved It's a Small World and Spectro Magic.

A few Highlights....

Weather was hot and rainy. It didn't stop us from doing what we wanted to do.

Used Skyauction for ther first time. Got an amazing deal at for a 2 bedroom at Summer Bay, would do it agian no problem. Place was very nice, huge and service was great. The master had a 2 person tub and the place was quiet. All for about $30 per night.

Stayed at Pop the last three days and it was allot of fun. We were in the 70's building. Loved the resort, the theme and transportation was excellent. Got the CAA rate and by returning the rental car we saved some $$.

Crowds were pretty small

Returned the rental car at Disney and used Magical Express on the way back to the airport. It worked well. The buses are painted up very nice. On the way there it looked very busy but we rented a car for the first week so we didn't needed it.

Dissapointed in Stiches Great Escape.

Loved MNSSHP. We dressed up but many didn't. It was so much fun walking around the park trick or treating.

Might have been biten by the DVC bug, went to the open house and we were more impressed with SSR than we pridected. Considering a purchase.

Next trip is in March for the crusie. We are trying to get some things in while the baby still travels for free. We did 11 days for about $1,500 USD. Any questions ask away or PM me.

Now did you see 'Wishes' and "HalloWishes", or just one or the other? Personally i first found the HalloWishes music a little...strange but i find it really grew on me. I do still prefer the original Wishes though....but if you had last seen the fireworks a few years ago, i'm guessing you saw FITS and both shows are quite an improvement over FITS. Glad you had a good trip!

How did you arrange using ME to go back to the airport? Did you use it on the way there, too? I guess I have some research to do but was wondering if it's something you have to pre-arrange and how early the buses start to run. Thanks for any info. Glad you had a nice trip!!

Wishes:
We got to see both Wishes and Hallowishes on this trip. We had seen Wishes in 2003 and thought that there were a few changes to the orginal this yearbut they were still great. The actual fireworks for Hallowishes struck us as fantaistic. The Pumkin fireworks were amazging.

Magical Express:
When I booked Pop, I didn't know you could use ME only one way but asked. The reservation agent said not a problem. They sent me the ME stuff and the arrival infortmation was blank and the depature info is filled out with your time, flight and date. They tell you what time to be at the bus stop. In our case for a 4:00 flight the bus left at 1:30. This left us just the right amount of time to check our lugage and grab a bite for DD before we left. What worked out great about this is that we had a car for the first week and were able to pcik up a few things we needed before going to the resort. Alamo lets you return the car at Disney no extra charge and then will shuttle you back to your resort.

So glad you had a good trip. We love the halloween party but we are trying the Christmas one this year.

Now someone is using their DVC to the max now aren't they??? LOL you are going to need to purchase more points soon to cover all these trips Hockey Mom. And yes I am still jealous about the DVC thing. I just keep planting the bug..........

We are doing the MNSSHP on Oct 30th. Can't wait!!!!! One more day and we will be doing the single digit dance ourselves.......

I think it was the Open house that might have put us over, plus the present deal. Plus no hard sell is nice. It is great to see SSR and they give you free ice cream and Fastpasses.
