Just back from OKW

Hi everyone,

You may have noticed I wasn't active on the boards for the last couple weeks. Mom and I, along with some newlywed friends were in two studios at OKW The resort is as lovely as ever, I am a little more disappointed in Olivia's new menu than I thought I would be...I was shocked they dropped their signature Key Lime Honey Mustard salad dressing One new menu item I really enjoyed, though, was the steak salad.

I drove through SSR to drop of the "new bride" for a spa appointment, she was running too late to use the boat. SSR looks to be a beautiful resort, I may have to "cheat" on our favorite OKW to give it a try.

Mom was in Celebration Hospital for a couple days with a mild case of pneumonia. What a first class facility, even as short staffed as they currently are, she got great care, and is feeling much better.

I used the "concierge desk" to get a PI admission. I was surprised that the CM called and left a messgae on the phone thanking me for using the concierge desk and wishing m a good time at PI

I'll post a better trip report later, I have to unload the car and get some rest.

Welcome back! Glad your mother's feeling better and you enjoyed your stay. I hope she was able to enjoy some time at OKW, even with the side trip to the hospital.

We're heading to OKW for the first time in two weeks-my husband is really looking forward to relaxing. Can't wait to try out this beautiful resort!

Welcome back and glad to hear your mom is doing better. Happy to hear all is good with OKW too. I have yet to try Olivia's - it is first on my list for our August trip.

Chuck I'm glad your mother is feeling better but sorry she was ill much less on vacation. Good to hear about Celebration Hospital.

We are here now in a 2 bedroom watching the rain!! .....but still enjoying it!

I was there last Tues-Thurs in the HEAT!! Wow, what a beautiful resort. We had a 2 bedroom that was HUGE. Loved the whirlpool bath, everyone raved about the mattresses too. The pool area is really nice, plenty of seats in the sun and the shade. We had a really relaxing Disney vacation, which was a change for us. Usually we run around all day at the parks, but now that we're DVC'ers we know we're coming back, so we could take it slow. We spent the mornings in the park, came back to the resort til about 5, then went for dinner and fireworks. Can't wait til November, then I get to try SSR!!!
