Just back from OKW - re slide...

The posting about a timeline is also credited to someone speaking to someone at DVC -- and that has already proven to be in error. Hopefully, it will be $.03-$.04 but it is just one person's conversation with one CM, not an announcement at the annual meeting. I'm not singling out Daisy because my gut says what she posted is true to her knowledge but, really, how do we know what is and isn't true that is posted by anyone, especially about one-on-one conversations? What's to stop someone from recounting an "official" conversation that never happened to bolster their point?

Long story short, it wasn't an announcement at the meeting itself as was previously posted. The guesstimate is $.03-$.04.

I think that a slide will be nice, but I"m concerned it will detract from the lighthouse and the appearance of the clubhouse if it is too tall. That Vero slide looks pretty imposing.

I would rather no slide than something that looks cheap or like an afterthought.

I would like to see an artist's rendering.

At the OKW annual meeting last December Sonya, the OKW General Manager, announced the OKW pool slide. After the meeting I spoke directly - face-to-face - with Sonya about the financial impact of the pool slide on OKW members. She & a financial DVC CM said it would cost members about three to four cents per point.

I looking forward to regaining that wasted travel time of pool hopping to other slides. My DVC membership continues to pay dividends!
