Oops I must have been tired last night and forgot to put some things in my very long post.
The Earl of Sandwich opened last week at DTD. It is where the old Gourmet Pantry was. I was somewhat apprehensive since they keep taking away some of my favorite eating spots only to replace them with something I don't enjoy.
The Earl of Sandwich is very nice.
They have freshly made to order hot sandwiches for $4.95, Fresh salads for $5.95, and premade wraps for $4.45 and pre made salads as well. (Definitely more reasonable prices.)
We tried the Chicken Caesar Wraps and liked them so much we bought more yesterday for the trip home! (We always used to do that at the Gourmet Pantry.) They have sodas, coffee, tea, juices, chips, cookies. There are places to eat both inside and out and at meal times there was a line that seemed to move quite well.
There is still a bakery counter now moved next door to Goofy's candy shop (where all the kitchen items were before) but they don't have the variety that they used to. Candy, fudge, cookies, brownies and muffins. I miss the slices of cake and pastries. My advice is to try it, most folks seemed to enjoy the food and the prices!

At the member update they mentioned the walkway from SSR to DTD. Someone asked if there would be a security gate at the walkway but was told no. There was an existing walkway there from DI and the previous townhouses but no one seemed to use it much other that guests staying there. It is a significant walk from DTD to SSR and not something many people would do, but who knows. Of course those who walk from OKW to DTD or from BWV/BCV to the studios may feel differently. When the resort opens there maybe 'sightseers' looking around just to see the resort. (Lots of people do that when ever a new resort opens.) That may change how access to SSR is handled. But then some folks look around a new resort first to see if they might like to stay there.
That's all for now.
:wave2:

Those prices sound TOO reasonable. Bet they go up soon!;)

We will certainly have to check it out in June...::yes::

We bought a lot of our food from Gormet Pantry before-happy to hear they have nice salads and sandwiches. Don't like the idea of a line to buy but I will just get there when it opens, that will solve that problem. Nice to hear you had such a great time.
