Just back from my FIRST trip to CBR

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at the CBR. We fell in love with the resort in June, 2006. We didn't even consider staying anywhere else when we were planning our June, 2007.

We have a couple of down days during our vacation and found that the CBR is a lovely resort for just relaxing and hanging around.

We are trying the Wilderness Lodge for our June, 2008 stay (always our dream resort) but wouldn't hesitate a bit to go back to the CBR.

I wish we could have relaxed while at the resort! We were non-stop and didn't take the opportunity to enjoy the grounds except for a quick trip to the main pool and one of the quiet pools. We didn't even make it to the island that I was looking forward to seeing. Oh well... it gives us an excuse to go back!

We stayed in Martinique building 23 room 19. Our room faced the courtyard. If you look at the map, find the smoking symbol - our room was right there!

I am glad to here that the reports are positive we will be staying there in a little less than 2 weeks and will be happy to put Pop in the dust and continue to look forward to moderates from now on!

We stayed at CBR last February (and several times before), and I have to say that your observations are a lot like mine. I think the grounds are beautiful, but the rooms could use a little work. We are staying at SSR next year, but I still love CBR because I stayed there so many times as a child.

I'm so glad you agree with my observations. I wasn't trying to stir the pot, just trying to give an honest opinion of my experience at CBR. I think it's VERY important to give an HONEST review so others aren't disappointed when they go (especially if they are expecting perfection). Personally, I have high expectations when going on vacation; however, I don't sweat the small stuff and have GREAT vacations because I have a good attitude. (Or so I try... ) CBR is still a great resort, but it isn't perfect.

That's a great way to look at it! I'm not sure I'd have such a good attitude if I were in a roach infested motel though. Thankfully, our vacation was perfect for us.
