Just back and had a great time (will post some photos a bit later as work permits). We also took the VMK insider tour and ended up comming back with about 48 cards (with codes for items). I highly recommend it! My after getting up at 3am yesterday at AS Sports, riding the bus to the air port, standing in line for the plane at 6am, sleeping part of the flight back (my sincere appoligies to anyone on that plane if I snored), flying back into Nashville, then driving for 5 hours home... my son set was up till 11pm last night putting in codes and fixing up his rooms.

Oh, and a warning for those looking to get their MHSSHP pins.... We were some of the last people out of the park (it was close to 1am when we left out and much to my dismay they have changed the location where the sell the pins! It's no longer at the Emporium (that stays open late). It's at the building on the left as you leave (I forget the name) and it closes early! There were some other people there when we arrived trying to get their pins (one dressed in a red devil costume) and they were VERY upset. I knew I was comming back in the next day so I let it drop. When I came back the next morning for the VMK tour, I stopped in and asked them if I could get the pins from the party and they directed me to the Jewelers 3 doors down. I went down and we were able to get our pins. I did have to show our bracelets and let them punch a hole in our MNSSHP passes to get them but I figured as much.

So, the moral of the story is: Either get your pins early, leave early, or be prepared to go back the next day with proof of your attendance.

The last thing I'd want to do is get the Devil upset. I hear its been hot enough.

Good thing they let you buy them the next day. I thought they only sold them at the party and were very strict about that. Glad to hear it worked out for you.

I am assuming that you are talking about the pins that you buy?

Do they give out the free buttons for mnsshp like they do mvmcp?

The pins for that night of the party are avail that night, but you can get previous nights party pins at Casey's jewelers?? Can't remember the name but it is the jewelers. Also they didn't sell the pins at most of the locations they did last year like at MVMCP, we had to go to Exposition hall where the pictures are taken and get them there. It was a long line so get there early and get it done with I say.

Are the pins only available after 7pm, or could you get them earlier once you've picked up your bracelet for the evening (assuming you're at MK earlier)?

That Devil was my DH! Actually, he could care less whether he got a pin, but told me to "go for it" so was sitting outside Exposition Hall waiting for me. And what a wait it was! I had stopped by a couple gift shops and kiosks over the course of the night and had asked about the pin and was either told the CM didn't know or that I would get them at the Emporium. Knowing the the EMP stays open late, I proceeded to stop by there on our way out at the end of the party. I was told that the Emporium didn't have them, only Exposition Hall. I went over there, only to arrive as they were locking the door on 10-15 other people that wanted to go in and buy pins. The CM's were curt almost to the point of being rude. That's when DH said "go for it, we'll wait" I went back over to the Emp to plead my case. We were leaving the next morning, so getting them the next day was not an option for us. The CM's I spoke to were very apologetic, said that a number of people had complained on this and other nights, that it had "been an issue" and suggested I take it up with guest services at City Hall. So to there I went, spoke to another CM, who explained that sometimes everyone working doesn't always have the right information, and it's a shame but sometimes that happens. Ultimately, he did offer to check into it and disappeared for about 15 minutes. When he came back, he told me had permission for someone to bring me over a pin and they would be here in a few minutes. 5-10 minutes later a CM from EH shows up and evidently got the message to go to City Hall, but not the message to bring a pin! So off she goes to get the pin. Another 5-10 minutes. Finally, she came back with pins and I asked for 2 which she begrudingly gave me (DH and DD were still over in front of EH) I don't think I was charged for them.. I offered my room key, but no one seemed to want it. So we finally left, caught the monorail to TTS and then waited at least 15 minutes for a tram. I have never waited 15 minutes for a tram. I guess they were holding back waiting for the last monorail and CM's to get there before making the final run. When it was all said and done, we got back to BWV just before 2AM and had to be up at 5 to get to the airport. It's made for a long recovery week now that we're back!

But for those going to MNNSHP, Check at city Hall when you go in and see where the pins will be sold and where the pictures are being taken.

Are the pins only available after 7pm,

I heard someone had asked at EH at the beginning of the night and was told they didn't have them. If you really want one, just plan to dedicate some time to figuring it out for the night you're there. I wouldn't count on buying them early.

I was at MNSSHP on 10/2, and got that night's pins at Exposition Hall. I got them between the parade and the fireworks (probably about 9 PM). I asked in 4 places before I was finally directed to the correct place to get my pins. It was very frustrating in my opinion, and wasted a bit of time. I got the 9/30 pin at the Jeweler on Main Street. Much easier to get there. Hope this will help others.

The pins are definately sold in Exposition Hall (next to Ton'ys on right side) for the party this year. Also, the previous pins are also available for purchase, if they have not sold out, at the Uptown Jewlers store, also on the right side of Main Street, halfway down. :earsboy:

I also tryed to buy a pin on 10-11. After being told all night to go to different stores in the park and then being told they didnt have them, we were finaly informed that they were only sold at exposition hall. We to decided to buy one on our way out. We arrived at 12:15 and it was closed. When we finally talked to a CM, she told us "I'm sure you will be able to buy one on ebay".Never did get a pin. sinclare, I am glad they brought you one.
