We just returned last night from a 8 night stay at Kidani. This is our home resort, but our 1st time staying there. I was so worried about everything, the location, the buses, the long walk to the rooms. Everything was great! We had a 1BR savanna view. The room was beautiful. The bathroom was amazing! It was enormous! I wouldn't do savanna view again, the kids just didn't care all that much. We saw much more action, out the windows on our walk out of the resort every morning.

The buses were the best we'd had anywhere. We stayed at the BC and Poly before. I don't know that I would want to stay at Jambo. It was so nice to always have an empty bus picking us up at Kidani. There were only 2 instances all week where the bus we needed was no where to be found. I'd say we waited no more than 5-10 min. It is also so nice that we don't share a bus with any other resort. I found that so frustrating with the Poly. A deluxe resort shouldn't share with 2 other resorts!

Any questions, just ask!

Glad you enjoyed your trip! We have stayed there twice and loved it both times!

I'm glad you finally made it to Kidani! That is our "home" too, and we can't wait to get back there in October. We love the transportation! It is so great having an empty bus show up to take us to the parks. This is especially helpful with a little one. We did a standard view on our last trip and have that for the up-coming trip in October. We are looking forward to a savanna view next summer, although we don't take advantage of it, since we tend to stay in the parks most of the day.

That's my home too! And I love it! My Grandmother is a big fan of the resort too. She loves to sit and watch the animals. I myself love the decor and you're right the bathroom is huge. It is interesting that at Kidani I can't hear fireworks or outside park noise from the other parks. It makes it a place to unwind after being at the parks. Absolutely wonderful.

We stayed at Kidani in February and absolutely loved it! We stayed standard view, and it was fine. As you say, there is plenty of animal viewing from the hallway windows and outside, plus we got great animals views our two times at Sanaa (which was fantastic!) I agree about the buses, too, great service! Glad you had such a wonderful trip!

Great to hear you loved Kidani - it does a job on your expectations from other resorts though, so beware ;)

I was surprised to read your comment about taking a standard view over savanna next time around. Our 4th AKV trip is scheduled for this winter: I'll have the kids and I in a standard view room for the first time this coming Christmas. I'm worrying about missing the savanna, but the weather's cooler and we'll have the door open less to go out. I figure with all the decor to take in, it'll make up for missing the giraffes. Nice to know you found plenty of viewing opportunities throughout the resort.

I don't think I'll ever stay at Jambo again either unless I snag a value room (which I had on our first trip and enjoyed). It's very different. With it's large lobby, store, Myra, Boma and Jiko as well as all the noise it has a busy feel to it that isn't very settling to me. Kidani is just right and well within commuting distance. ;)

We have a 2 bedroom savannah view room booked for Christmas. I can't wait! It will be our first time in Kidani. We stayed at Jambo House before Kidani was completed. Thanks for the post!

;) We loved our visit the first week of May. We will never stay at Jambo unless like you say a value room cn be had. We too enjoy the quiet lobby and relaxed vibe. We have done SV studios and our last trip was a standard studio. We had a view directly over Bell Services---those animals get restless about 2-4 p.m. :thumbsup2

We stayed in a SV 2BR in Novebmer and we loved it too! Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm glad to read that you had such a wonderful stay at Kidani. This is also our home resort and we love it. We will be back home in October.

You may not like it if your room was the alst one down the hallway. other then that we loved staying there, but man did we get tired of walking and they need a quick serve restaurant in Kidani

Great, we're trying Kidani for the 1st time in August, looking forward to it!

Thanks for the TR!

Hi Jaylin,
Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. I have stayed at AK several times and love it. SV can be hit or miss. I always noticed the animals late at night, but when you see them there is nothing like it. :woohoo: Thanks for sharing. :thumbsup2

I am happy to hear all the positives about this resort. We are staying here for a week in june and we are all very excited.
