Hey! We stayed at the AKV - Kidani from last Sunday to Fri. in a 2bd lock off. We had a great time and loved the room(s). I will say that the only thing I didn't like was the AC unit. It doesn't adjust, it stays at about 72 degrees. I tried to override it but it doesn't work.

If any of you have any questions, please email me.

Thanks - Diane

That was our only complaint, too. Well, that and the fans not having pull cords so we were unable to adjust the speed.

We called maintenance to have them override the AC. One of the guys came up and fiddled with it for awhile, but he wasn't able to override it either. He told us that even they don't know how to do it. He was able to adjust the fans for us, though.

I would be interested to know if your second bedroom had two queens or a queen and sleeper sofa?

I'm not sure why, but our AC worked fine. We'd just punch the up or down button and the unit would adjust. (I'd turn the temp. down, and my cold-blooded kids would turn it up!)

Yes, I had forgotten about there being no chains for the ceiling fans. I turned on the fan in the master bedroom and it was going full-blast, so I turned it off and thought, "Guess I won't be using that".

is there an over-ride step by stepfor this Kidani system? I saved and printed the one for SSR and it helped so much. thanks

We were there about 4 weeks ago and the thermostat was set at 68. The room stayed very comfortable the whole week so we never had a need to try to override the settings. I was pleasantly surprised at how cool the room was all day given some of the issues others had reported.

I am planning on booking a 2 bdrm lock off SV for June 2010.

What was your view (savanah, standard), what floor, room number, location from lobby & elevator?

I would love to see pics of your room and view!!!

What was your party size? Did you feel it was comfortable/roomy?

Our party will consist of Me, DH (master) DD12, DF (living room sofa/chair) DS3, DB, DSIL & DN3 (2nd bedroom). Since we have that 3rd bathroom I think we will be ok.

If you utilized your kitchen often, did you feel like there is something (utensil or small appliance) you wish you would have had?

We are planning on a family Christmas there next year, but want a standard view - what was your view?
I don't think the a/c will bother us since we're leaving behind freezing temps and snow!!!!
Glad to hear you enjoyed it otherwise.

68! OMG! I would have been freezing. I keep my thermostat here in Texas at 76 in the summer - and sometimes turn it higher if I am chilly.... At night I turn it down to 73 so I can sleep under my duvet.:rotfl:

Yeah, normally 68 would be too low for us too but after a long day out in the mid-90 degree weather and high humidity it was a blessing. I would much rather be a little cold and have to use a blanket than laying awake at night sweating.
