We waited a couple of years to fit this into our schedule and finally we got to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Arrived on WDW property at Sept. 14, 2007, played all day and then that afternoon, called and got reservations to see the 9:30 showing. We adored it! Laughed so hard! My 11 yr. old son thought it was the funniest and probably best part of the trip. (He's been to the parks since birth).
We are Floridians
and should've known better but we forgot to bring rain ponchos or an umbrella. We parked at the Fort Wild. Kennels and took the bus to the settlement. For first timers, you can't drive your own vehicle to the Hall. Anyway, it was raining cats and dogs and so we were drenched. the bus driver turned off all of the inside lights and stopped midway through on the road to show us a mother and two baby deers resting beside the road. Guess that they just didn't want to be near the tall pine trees in the storm! Despite being half-drowned, the show was perfect, food was very tasty and was all you cared to eat. The strawberry shortcake tasted like something Grandma would've made for a special occasion.

The performers, servers and other CM were so friendly. Definately do it if you can!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is good to hear. We are going for the first time in Jan. Since we are on the DDP, we can only get Cat 1 & 2 seating. We are in Cat 2. I looked at the seating. (link below)

My question for you is; what catagory were you in? It almost looks like Cat 3 might be better than Cat 2. Also, is it group seating? We are a family of three, will we be seated with others. I don't mind that, just wanted to know ahead.

Thank you for your review!

We were sitting in the tier 2 area. We could see everything as the performers came to our table. Tier 3 only had one family sitting upstairs since Disney wasn't busy at all. The performers climb the stairs to go see the guest upstairs. I hope you enjoy it. It's good, clean, family-friendly humor.

No, it is not group seating so no one else will be at your table other than your family.

Hi, We are also going to the HDDR for the FIRST time in February with some good friends that have gone many times. The strange part is we have vacationed at WDW for the PAST 20 years(multiple trips per year) and have NEVER seen this show! For many years we did the POLYNESIAN SHOW when it had the characters in it,and we just LOVED that! So HAPPY to hear such a GREAT review! :thumbsup2 And the STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE is what I am really looking forward to!! Joan

We adore the HDDR, too. It's always one of the high-points of our WDW vacation. Highly recommend it to everyone!

so glad to hear you all liked is so much...we have an ADR for Dec and my husband is kinda leery about it... I can hardly wait:yay: :yay: :yay:

It is still one of my favorite attractions at WDW !

The show is wonderful - just try and get the tune out of your head!
