Returned yesterday from HHI and will have to say that I've not been so relaxed in quite awhile. We (myself, son & his buddy) went to Charleston for a couple of days then drove to HH (about a 2 hour drive). We had a 1br in the Live Oak Lodge Building (main building for registration). Everything about the resort is lovely...one could be as active or non-active as you wanted. There were many activities available each day. But the boys were content to swim, play shuffleboard, etc., go to the beach (took shuttle to the beach house). We did schedule a dolphin cruise which was alot of fun. I also tried my hand at Goofy Bingo and Trivia one night! Met some fellow Georgians and a very nice lady from Minnesota. The staff at the resort was exceptional! I'm sure this will not be the last time to visit HHI. So now we can enjoy our memories of this trip and look forward to visiting the World 4 weeks from tomorrow. What a great summer this is!!

Great to hear you all had such a nice trip. I hope we can visit HH sometime.:D

:cool1: Just sitting here dreaming about HH myself. Haven't been yet.
Sounds like you had a very nice trip! Hope to make it there myself one day.

We just returned from HHI as well. We arrived home last night, we checked out on Friday. We were in building 28, 1BDR. It was a great trip, the room was in good order, except the inside of the micro was exceptionly dirty with bacon grease. Otherwise no complaints. Our children had a great time!! So did we! This was our second trip to HHI and we have so many reasons to go back.
The weather was fantastic, it was hard to do anything but the pool and the beach.

We are really looking forward to returning. Perhaps in a couple of years when our baby is bigger.

We found as foreigners it was an ideal location to explore the historical cities of Savanah and Charleston.
We loved the beach house and the long walks along a beautiful wide beach.
We loved the character of the Island and the variety of quaint shops and restaurants.
Golf was out of this world .
