Just back from GF!!

This was our 1st visit to GF and we LOVED it!! I never understood before why people liked staying at a resort on the monorail before but now I do. It is SOOOO much easier. I can't wait to go back.

I'm headed back to WDW in a couple of weeks - ending our stay with a week at GF. Can't wait!!

Isn't it Great being on the monorail route? It's so hard staying anywhere else after you've stayed at a monorail resort.

If funds allow I plan to try the GF my next trip

GF is certainly a lovely setting. Did you by any chance, eat at their counter service, Gasparilla Grill? I am wondering about the quality of the food there.

I was in Conch Key (?), I think that was the name of the building. I loved being on the monorail. I am spoiled now. The only thing I got at the counter service was a so I can't speak for the food but the Mickey bar sure was good. I did not try out the spa. AKL was my favorite resort but I think GF is my new favorite.

I think the personal pizzas at Gasparilla's are excellent.

Gasparilla's is excellent. Everything is now made to order so it no longer sits all day long. There are 2 service counters one for hot foods...hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken sandwiches and pizza and then a cold counter with fantastic sanwiches and salads. We found ourselves leaving the parks(esp. EPCOT who has horrible counterservice menus) to eat lunch at Gasparillas!

We have stayed at Conch Key also. We really enjoyed it. You are also so close to boat dock for MK. We used the boat when leaving MK if it was coming into the dock. It as so handy to be let off near your building from the boat. Loved it! Glad you did too!!!

I also just returned. We were in Conch Key as well, we must have been neighbors I absolutely love this resort. We stay there every summer & I wouldn't want to stay any place else. I am in love with the GF. We had a view of the MK this year. It was the best.
The cheeseburgers at Gasparilla's are out of this world. The cold sandwiches are also good. We tried the pizza and were not crazy about that! We are from NJ so it wasn't like the typical NJ/NY pies that we like.

You really can't go wrong with either resort in my opinion. We have stayed at AKL twice and we wanted to try something different this trip. The monorail was a HUGE plus, as Julygirl says, location, location, location.
