We just got back from our first trip home. We stayed at the Boardwalk. It was wonderful and everything that we had hoped!!!
Our room, 3109, was in great condition. It was a long walk from the elevators, but the room was so nice that it was worth it. We had a standard view, but true to Disney, it was still very nice. We overlooked the pond, fountain and bus stop. My DD and DS got a kick out of watching the people go back and forth to the bus stop and watching the valets walk to retrieve and park cars.
We used the kitchen alot and ate lunch in the room every day. That saved us about $20-25 a day as we usually eat counter service for lunch. My DD and DS are still young, so coming back for lunch, a swim, and a rest was a great way for everyone to stay energized. We have always taken a midday break in the past, but had to eat lunch in the park. This was just so convenient!!
The cast members were very helpful. My DH got sick in the middle of the trip. When I called to get info on how to find a doctor, they connected me directly to a doctor service that does in-room visits. It was a little pricey and cash-only, but not having to go out and find a doctor was great.
We are going back in August and I can't wait!!!! If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to answer them. I will put a trip report out on the board very soon with a list of restaurants, etc.
