Hello,

My wife, 11mo son and myself just returned from a week (April 9-16) in a One bedroom unit at the Fairfield Resort at Bonnett Creek. We rented this unit from an owner found on the TUG classifed page. Some thoughts...

-$700 for Sat to Sat

-Room has VCR and stereo

-Location for non-Disney owned property is unbeatable

-Two buildings completed out of a proposed six. Main pool open, to be three pools and mini golf once complete

-Free pool, ping pong, two internet terminals in main building. Video cassette rental in main building. Free high speed internet in room, no Wi-Fi, Cat 6 cable required.

-Paper thin walls. Could hear next door master bedroom talking, flushing toilet and "Ahem  "

-Unable to cash travelers' checks at resort. Is this normal for timeshares? It is quite a simple thing to do at any DIsney resort.

-No sundry or gift shop of any kind

Let's see...did they have irons and ironing tables in the rooms? Was there any landscaping? Are the entrances inside like a hotel or outside like a motel? How was the bus service to the parks? This may be a stupid question, but the internet terminals in the main building; are they actual computers with access or is it just a place where you can "hook" up to the internet? I'd love to be able to download my pics while I'm at the resort instead of saving them all until I get home! :) Was the pool warm? How was the lazy river? Was the place packed or did it seem empty still? I think that's about it. Only EIGHT MORE DAYS!!! :)

Thanks!

Krys

Hello,

-Ironing boards and irons: Yes

-Landscaping: Basic (flower beds, palms, fountain out front)

-Inside entrances

-Didn't use the bus service, rented car

-Internet connections in main building are two real computers

-Didn't use pool or lazy river, didn't find time, looked nice

-Seemed empty during our afternoon breaks, but was busier at night with families returningfrom the parks

hope this helps some,

We really appreciate your report! We are going on May 6th, and I have a few questions:

How often do they clean your room?

Is there a hideaway sofa bed?

Are the buildings that are open close to the pool?

Is it easy to get to/from the parks?

Is there a grocery store close by?

Can you post some pictures?

Was it crowded? It seems that is it always booked.

Thank you so so much for sharing your experience!

I'm pretty sure they don't have housekeeping. All the other Fairfield resorts we've stayed at have not had housekeeping. You have to clean yourself. :(

if you rent directly from Fairfield you might get housekeeping - anywhere else it is consider a timeshares and no housekeeping.

it should be very easy to get back and forth from WDW. It is next door to CBR and PO. (Carribean Beach Resort and Pop Century both WDW resorts)

there are any reasonable grocery stores on WDW property. THere is a Publix in Kissimmee and a Winnie Dixie in LBV.

How often do they clean your room?

Housekeeping came once (Wed.) during our Sat-Sat rental. They will provide extra trashbags as needed.
Is there a hideaway sofa bed?

Yes, The sofa in the living room is a bed. Sheets are provided

Are the buildings that are open close to the pool?

Yes, the pool is at the main building and the only other building is a two minute (or less) walk to the pool.

Is it easy to get to/from the parks?

Very, you can see the Carribbean resort from the Fairfield. Out front of resort, turn left, two lights = MGM (total , 5 minutes)

Is there a grocery store close by?
See previous post
Can you post some pictures?
Sadly, we rearragned the place before I took pictures. However this LINK takes you to some pictures of a two-bedroom unit taken just after the resort opened. The yellow building under construction in these photos is the one we were in.
Was it crowded? It seems that is it always booked.

Didn't seem very crowded, But all of WDW was light on the crwds the week we were there.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip.

Did they supply towels? If so, how many (i.e. should we plan to bring extra or wash the ones supplied)?

Could you see fireworks from the hotel? It seems that Epcot is pretty close.

I know they supply most things needed for cooking and eating, but would you recommned bringing anything not supplied?

Thanks!

you might want to bring some salt and pepper

if you happen to be placed in a parking lot view in building one......you may see some "peripheral fireworks" from Epcot

we were lucky when we were there.....they had a big display for the media at MGM one night and we were able to see them since MGM is just past Carribean Beach which we could see from our balcony

they suppy towels ( enough for 8 in a 2 bedroom ), saw towels in the exercise room and guess they would have pool towels too, though am not sure about that.....will check our welcome package to see if they mentioned anything about "pool towels"

as far as kitchen towels they supply two but did not seem to give you a dish cloth ( we had one roll of paper towel and bought one ourselves )
