According to Caskbill's posts, BWV lobby to International Gateway is .36 miles. I just don't see people doing cartwheels over the ability to walk 3x that distance to a theme park.
And if that's from the nearest point at Kidani, what about the people who are staying in the opposite end of the resort? Talk about your looooooooong hallways.
What about people staying at Jambo house? It's been mentioned here that Jambo to Kidani--lobby to lobby--is .5 mile. Are people going to walk 1.5 miles from Jambo to DAK?
3 mph is considered aerobic, as in power walking. 2 - 2.5mph is an average adult pace.
But in this case we aren't talking about slicing a path thru a forest--it's swampland.
Again, if it were part of a greater development effort in the area, I could see it. If they planned to put another resort in the vicinity and wanted to develop another resort complex like BC/YC/BW/Dolphin/Swan, I could see a path being part of the equation.
But until that happens, I don't see any great benefit. AKV is going to sell out regardless. A walking path wouldn't save any money because they still need to provide bus service--it's not like BWV/BCV where the proximity is close enough to eliminate the busses.
In today's Walt Disney Company, I can't see them spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a path that will have zero impact on the bottom line.
