We had a great time. Stayed on 10th floor on east wing of the Dolphin. Payed for standard view and got a water view. And we had a room on the 5th floor at the Royal pacific facing the hulk which was nice because it was also a great view of the fireworks every night. This was also standard view room. This was the busiest time of the year for Disney but with carefull planning all went well. Any and all questions are welcome.

Glad you had a great time. I would love to know your thoughts on Royal Pacific & how your experiece with FOTL privileges was? Thanks

How was the Royal Pacific? Are the beds comfy? What level would you compare it to Disney resorts? Was people swimming ? :flower1:

I would compare Royal Pacific to the deluxes at Disney. It is as nice as WL or the POLY imho.

Can You Tell Me How The Room At The Dolphin Was? How was The Decor, Was it up to DISney Standards? Would you Stay At Both Hotels Again, and If Not, What One(s)? I am glad to see you had a good time! :D

assiemickeys: Royal Pacific was very nice. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't a place to grab a quick bite to eat such as a sandwich or pizza etc at night there. All the places at night are sit down and are fairly expensive and not quick. We loved Emeril's, but again it was big $$$$. During the day you can get burgers at the pool. We loved the atmosphere. The pool was tame (no slide) but fun. It had a section for the kids to run through water fountains etc. The walk to the park was about 10 mins. or you can take a boat which ran every 5 mins or so. The FOTL privileges were the only way to go, especially the busy times. It wasn't uncommon for rides that posted 100 minute wait times but with the FOTL cards it was about about 20 mins. at the most. Actually, that was the biggest reason we stayed on Universal property.

Pokadotminnie: I agree that it is as nice as WL and Poly imho as well
Drumflower: I hate to say it but the beds just were not that comfortable. They were not pillow top like the ones at the dolphin and the pillows were just ok. My bed at home was more comfortable than these were. I would say this hotel is comparible to the Disney deluxes but without the close attention to detail. For example, The a couple of the rugs in the hall ways were rippled as if it wasn't installed properly. I believe disney would have had it fixed. We also had to have house keeping change one of the comforters do some some kind of gunk on the outside and inside of it. (I don't even want to guess on what it was). My daughter used to work as a hotel maid and said they hardly ever changed the comforters between guests (kind of gross). Anyway, I think Disney probably would have spotted that (was pretty obvious). Yes, there were people swimming. (Including us) It was heated to about 78 degrees (not quite as warm as Dolphins main pool)

polkadotminnie: Yes, I think this hotel is right up there with the WL and Pretty close to the Poly. Money wise it blows both of them away. (it was about half the cost of the Poly that time of year).

Yacht club guy: The decor was really nice. I can't complain there. I believe it is almost about to Disney standards on the inside and definately on the outside (see above notes). I would definately stay at these hotels again.
