Just back from DLRP

We just got back from 5 days at DLRP and had a great time although it was freezing!!

Highs
- The characters reactions to my brother (who has cerebral palsy). Excellent!
- King Ludwig's Castle Restaurant Lunch
- Cafe Mickey Dinner
- Tower of Terror
- New Year's Eve fireworks and atmosphere in the park.
- Day trip to Paris
- Mickey's Holiday Dinner on New Year's Eve


Main complaints
- Expensive!!! Especially the cost of juice!
- Lucky Nugget Restaurant the service was terrible. We waited 20 mins for drinks!!
- Rude people!!
- People smoking in the park and in the lines for the rides.
- 75 min queue for Crush and no fast passes (never got on!!)

Welcome back, I went to the preivew of Crush's Coaster & didn't get a chance to ride it, so I feel your frustration

It was very cold, windchill factor!! It only rained on our last day, so we were quite lucky.

We booked the trip to Paris through DLRP it leaves from the hotel New York (think it is every day). We really enjoyed this, you leave on the bus at 9.45am and then there is a commentary (headphones) on the bus through Paris. Halfway we stopped at the Eiffel tower for photos only. Then back on the bus for the rest of the tour. We then went on a boat tour, again stopping early to have free time (1 hour 20mins) at Notre Dame. Back on the boat for the rest of the river tour. Then walked the short distance to the eiffel tower and got the lift to the first viewing platform. It was a good tour and we saw all the main sites! I liked the fact it was all organised for you!!


The parks were busy over New Year's Eve/Day but it seemed quieter yesterday. We went for the EMH and we were able to walk on to everything.

TOT - fantastic!!! This is my favourite ride at WDW and I thought the DLRP 1 was even better!! The CM on the ride was great, acted out the part brilliantly. We had to queue for 50 mins to get on the ride but there are fast passes available.

Don't know about any other tours, sorry. We got back at 6.15pm. We were late in leaving (about 15 mins) because some people did come back to the bus. They just left without them!

Thats how I felt! On the last day it was really icy and I hate ice!! I slid along Main St!! They were out putting salt down to clear the ice, but I always manage to find the patch that did not get treated!!!
