Thanks for your quick reply! I've Your information really helps with my decision. Although I love the idea of the free shuttle and continental breakfast at the CCI, I think having the extra space is more important. Did you find the walk to and from HoJo was ok? Especially if we want to return mid-afternoon for a nap? Thanks again!
We think that the walking distance from HoJo is almost the same as the CCI, with HoJo being just a little bit further. The biggest difference is, you have to use the crosswalk and cross Harbor Street if walking from HoJo, where as CCI is on the same side of the street as the DLR. One advantage to walking from HoJo is that you don't have to cross in front of the DLR parking entrance like you do when you walk from CCI. That entrance is somewhat of a dangerous intersection because cars coming into the park aren't watching the walkers before they turn in. Another advantage to staying at HoJo over CCI is that you're right there next to Mimi's Restaurant, Millie's Restaurant, and McDonalds. All three are great off site places to eat and family friendly. Mimi's has a take out menu that we use whenever we're down there. You can walk back for naps and stop by on your way back to the motel at Mimi's grab a to go order, and be set for the afternoon off from the parks. *A personal hint, call your order in just before you leave the park. They'll have it ready by time you walk there.
